I want to ask... Why yaoi it's cool for girls? It's more popular than Yuri so, that a real girl stuff?

So girls like soft story or the hard stuff? I don't understand! And why boys like more feminine than girls in those manga/anime? Those Men seem to be like child sometime!

Anyway! Can we explain why this passion for yaoi?

So.. I think yaoi (most of all) are really cute
and the draw is so more beautiful than others animes~ *-* s2

The histories are so cute and interesting (EX: ), that make me scream O_O'

i´ll try to answer.......
i like yaoi because it´s something new for me, because stories are more complex and romantic (most of the time) than shoujo, and characters are more interesting.

i like everything in yaoi; i like sweet, romantic stories (example: bukiyou na silent ), that make my heart beat fast and have me on the clowds all day waiting for my bf to do something as romantic as what i just read, and i like hot steamy stories that make me wet my panties, and throw myself at my bf´s arms as soon as he walks throw the door(example: Love Prism)....

i think it´s just a look than one or all of the mens on the stories are more beautiful than womans, i dont think it´ll like as much if it where a discusting old geezer screwing another guy, and the ones with child like characters, are called shota, and its the same as loli, but with boys, i dont like those that much, but anyway....

i think the passion, in me at least, comes from the fact that it´s a new thing i dont know and i´m never gonna experience, and that´s what make it soo interesting.

if we want to be treated the same as mens, we must be the same as mens, so why dont start with pervertion????

It's because of female's attraction to males. Even if a girl is homosexual or enjoys yuri yaddah yaddah, hormones kick in.

Yaoi also seems to have better plot lines.

And lastly, yaoi can represent both genders better than yuri can. Yuri is all girl-figured for the most part. You won't see many yuri's with a male figure and demeanor in there, and those type of yuris are often not... good to say the least.

Whereas yaoi you can have a very feminie figure and have the dominant male. With yuri, it's difficult to pull off without making it strange.

i agree with the previous submits... they are totally true.

1. it is a preference. A HOBBY.

2. da stories are much MUCH better than usual shoujo manga. mostly girls (well, in this case, me) search for romantic things and i am well supplied inside yaoi world.

3. if man can have preverted fantasies about women on women, why notwomen have too? and from what i observed, yuri are less plot more sex while yaoi more plot sometime no sex (really. try shounen ai).

4. there is gender role. in yuri, it might not really obvious as in the end both party acts as the bottom/top. in yaoi, they have a fixed position (except some specific mangas).

5. IT IS FUN. whaddya askin' for???

Why do you like what you like? You don't have a explanation for that...

If you have, then is because you don't love it as much as you think you do. Trying to separate in categories what you like and why you like it and how much do you like it, etc, etc...

It's just stupid. If i thought like that i wouldn't fall in love, i wouldn't have a favorite food and so on...

yaoi is adorable!!! and not like hey, all the characters are kids so lets have a ball...but in the the fact that it's a taboo of sorts, makes another obstacle that the couples have to overcome...it's like a forbidden fruit, that's just that much sweeter when you get it...i personally find girls in manga and anime annoying...there's only a select few that i can tolerate...girls seem WAY too emotional, freaking out every time the guy they like is near them (example one: yuuki from vampire knight) or trying to trap the guy they like into a a date or something by threatening to walk out, or using a subtle but definitely there weakness against the guy in order to get things to work the way they want it to...AND THEN, more straight shoujo mangas have obstacles in the way of love triangles...it's cliche, and it just means that the girl will never fully love the character she ends up with...it's like, she gets a guy, but has a backup that she's half in love with...(example 1: yuuki from vampire knight...i just love her huh?)...girls are often, but not always, tedius and annoying IMO.

i personally prefer the manly (not body builder mind you, but obviously an adult male) i don't like it either, when one of the characters looks like a girl or child...if i wanted to read a story about a man and a woman i would read it, not one with two guys who look like girls...so i understand where you're coming from on that one, but overall i think that yaoi, as with any story, with good plot and excellent art are fantastic!! if you're looking for a good one, you should read ayano yamane's mangas "viewfinder" or "crimson spell" (hardcore) or fusanoske inariya's "maiden rose" (very hardcore) but they have really good plots, wonderful art, and lovable characters...or you could try a manga like vassalord, which has beautiful art, good plot, and it's more of a shounen ai (though it isn't catagorized as such)

PLUS!! BEAUTIFUL MEN!!! twice the amount of gorgeous men!! and i personally like hardcore...and i don't like to watch a woman get it on...and i read/watched some yaoi and it was just perfect!!! fell in love instantly...but like some people before me said, guys imagine girls on girls, and i completely love guys on guys!!! (as long as you know they're both guys!!!!) hope that helps...hehehe...
