Shonen ai vs Yaoi vs Shojo ai vs Yuri
Shonen ai, Shojo ai = boyxboy for shonenai, girlxgirl for shojoai. It's basically pure fluff, hugs, occasional kisses. Citrusy content is PG-13 at maximum.
Yaoi, Yuri = Teh smutty stuff, Yaoi = boyxboy, Yuri = girlxgirl. A side not: yaoi is smutted more often than yuri  I'm more for the fluffy stuff. So thus, Shonenai and Shojoai, but no further. |

i would rather have mostly fluffy but then getting to the hotsex at the end - it's annoying if it's all fluff all the time, just get ON with it
but all sex all the time is boring. |

I prefer the -ai genres and Yaoi. Shojo ai is wonderfully done with just enough of a hint. Some of those storylines seem to have the deepest connections of all, even if it leads to a hint of a sex scene to come and fades to a different line. And... I love seeing boys kiss, so I like shonen ai.
 Sometimes, their connections can match the shojo ai ones.And Yaoi because... There's something very sexy about watching two men engaged in intercourse. I detest it when it's without story though or if I can't find one. Initially, I liked Level C for example because I saw a storyline. When I looked closer, I don't get the same impression anymore, so my initial liking dropped it to fifth place. Sweet Revolution was my favorite one shot while Junjo Romantica is my favorite series. I'm going to cry when book seven of it comes out and it ends... |

Definently "Shojo ai & Yuri" for me ^.^
I don't swing toward the "Shonen ai & Yaoi", That just seems wrong to look at.... I feel uncomfortable watching "Koutetsu Sangokushi" becasue that anime is a total sausage fest, lol. "Saint Beast Kouin Jojishi Tenshitan" was the same way.... I just don't see the pleasure of 2 guys together.... Just wrong >.< If it's 2 Girls, then I have no problems, ^.^ "Shojo ai & Yuri" FTW |

I like Yuri too much to be natural. I'm a guy, of course, but it's not cause of the usual pervy reasons. I think it's just the fact that it's different to me. I used to read a lot of hetero pairings when I was younger, so I'm a little burnt out on that whole scene.
