Best Game Platform?

this is a pretty charged issue... people argue it all the time haha. My answer is... until a decent JRPG comes out I'm not going to touch any of the consoles. Wii gets boring in about 10 minutes if you're playing alone, and there are better things to do in parties. FPS isn't really my thing so I don't care much about 360. PS3 and Sony failed to deliver on alot of promises (why is it that the gaming industry keeps postponing and delaying everything nowadays ><) but in the end I'm probably going to get a PS3 because I like Japanese games better than Western ones. The difference between 360 and PS3's performance isn't that much - PS3 can take advantage of installing stuff onto the harddrive to reduce loading times, though 360 has a slightly faster framerate since game developers haven't really come up with a method of reading Bluray at speeds comparable to DVD; graphics at the moment are pretty much equivalent. Just comes down to what kind of games people prefer.

PS3 runs both PS2 and PS1 games. I am a fan of some PS1 games, so I would like to not lose those. But I like Wii (Go, Super Smaaash Broooooos! :P). I have no information on X-box. Sorry.

I have an Xbox 360 and it shits on my PS3.

Played a Wii heaps and they just suck. So Microsoft all the way.

I would choose a Wii, however that is not saying much considering how little I play games.

I just don't like the whole gormless sitting in front of a screen clutching a controller, I just feel the need to jump up and move around whenever I play a console.

I've never been more conflicted about consoles. The Wii has a great concept, but almost no GREAT games and terrible online, the 360 has the best online, and great games, but it isn't getting all of the great games, the PS3 also has great games, but doesn't have the best online capabilities.

I've bought a 360, and will probably buy a PS3 around Christmas.
