Game from a Movie

i have a simple question, and that is has any game based of a movie ever made it big other than 007 Golden Eye on the 64?

No I don't think there is any other than Goldeneye. Most of the movie games are crappy, but I'm not a 100% sure cause I tend to not play movie games.

oh how i hate those movie game that come out . all of them are poorly design for gameplay.
i also hate how some of the movie are base on game now.... they take good game and make crappy movie out of it. like tomb raider, blood rayne , D.O.A, mortal kombat.
but hitman was an ok movie that came out from a game.

i don't know how many will remember this game but friday 13th for nes was an awsome game... for that time of course, you really felt the preasure of escaping from Jason.

azndr4g0n00 is right, many movies made of games suck, i disagree with Mortal Kombat (i liked the first movie) but the ones from Uwe Bole (Blood Rayne, The house of the dead, Alone in the Dark) the 2nd of MK, Super Mario Bros. and Street fighter i can live without.

On the other hand Silent Hill (wich has been recognized as part of the serie) and the first two movies of Residen Evil really make you remember the feeling of the games (S.T.A.R.S. )

On a personal note i really liked Doom, though many found it simple, but just as some say: "don't mix story into my action"

well i didnt see silent hill, but i have seen the Resident Evil movies and they did stick to the story pretty well, untill the 3rd one anyway

i agree that E.T. was the worst game/movie that ever came out.
well let just say that E.T. was the cause of Atari's downfall and is often viewed as one of the biggest commercial failures in video gaming history, as well as the worst video game ever made. E.T. was a major contributing factor to Atari's bankruptcy, which in turn contributed to the video game crash of 1983. Good thing Nintendo came out to save the video gaming world that we live in today.
