Lost Odyssey is supposed to be a great classic styled JRPG, for the 360.

I tend not to buy as many games as i did a few years ago, more of the games nowadays seem to be shorter than before. I'll go out an hire a game and play it and from that ill see if the longtivity will really justify buying it. i mean if i can hire it 2 or 3 times and complete it its probably not really worth buying. If its a good game and can last me a while ill buy it.
As for game time i play a bit less now, but when i play ill play for a long amount of time. But recently I've found that I'm going back to older games in my game library and enjoying them more than the newest thing to hit the shelves. |

I've been playing for 22 years now (damn i feel old
) and i buy more or less the same amount of games, although i've always been selective with what i get, buy what i like and rent the rest (god bless blockbuster ) and i found that there is a lot of trash out for sale that gets a lot of promotion, and some games that aren't, are better, so it's harder to find this few good games than it was 5 or 10 years ago (what did i just said )it could also be that you have found your style of games and you dont want to try other things (that happened to a lot of my friends :P) |

I heard mixed reactions to Mass Effect, I know Oblivion is kick ass, and that Eternal Sonata was bad
those are the only RPGs i know of on the 360 thanks for the input everyone it's good to know i'm not alone when it comes to playing less games but still liking them (if that makes any sense) Bioshock, PDZ (You could call it a fps rpg if you wanted), Lost planet (Sorta...) Lost odyssey, Enchanted arms, FF 11, Blue Dragon, Crackdown, Two worlds, The darkness, Eternal sonata I heard was pretty good, Don't know where you hear it was bad. Also mass effect is a game loved by thousands, If your going by fox news random bullshit then your a idiot |

I'll look into Eternal Sonata and Two Worlds some, perhaps playing the demos of them, maybe Enchanted Arms |

I haven't bought nearly as many games as I used to. I've bought a lot of other stuff in the past 2 years that costs a lot of money so I haven't had much to spare. Also lately I've been doing more emulation than normal console stuff. I've acquired a pretty good sized ROM library though.

The gaming industry has changed alot throughout the years, and it seems to be moving in the direction of power, seems that alot of these games dwell on pretty graphics rather than award winning gameplay with a few exceptions to some brialliant games that have been released such as Mass Effect and F.E.A.R, how many of you remember the true classics such as Lunar Lander and the original donkey kong or even the first monkey island on dos, and example of graphics vs gameplay is the elder scrolls series, i remember that i played morrowind for years, in fact i loved the gameplay of it. then oblivion was announced, i was so happy, however once released i was slightly disappointed by bestheda sacrificing the brialliant gameplay they created for morrowind with spiced up graphics, don't get me wrong i enjoyed oblivion but it didn't hold my attention as morrowind did. i think the point i'm trying to make is don't forget the classics because in all honesty some of them were probably some of the best gaming experiences of your life.

Actually a few of my friends at school have Mass Effect.
One of them really like it, another thought it was okay, and another thought it was trash compared to the KotOR games I'm going to get it eventually, I just don't want to pay $60 for it Actually, I'd be more inclined to buy others, like Eternal Sonata or Bioshock (i've played it already though) once they are cheaper as well. Re: To anyone who grew up playing games
i used to have 3 consoles, but now i dont even buy games. i dont see the point of paying for games anymore since we'll get bored of it at some point in life. Plus, internet is your friend
