If you want to pass some time at work, no fancy graphics, there is a new rpg called "Emogame".
It's still in alpha status but seems fun.
So if you would like to check out: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Re: What is your favorite MMO?

I just started playing EVE Online today and I have to say it is very good so far. It is very deep and complex, you need to put some time into this game before you can figure out what is going on.

I don't play MMOs. They can hardly be considered real video games, they're just "services" with a monthly fee, like any other. Every in-game decision on the part of the developers is done with the intention of preventing the userbase from quitting. I don't feel that I need the services that Blizzard and the like have to provide (namely, time-wasting).

There are many good free MMORPG games. MMO stands for Massively Multiplayer Online game which does not limit it to PC MMORPG games, that includes games like CoD4 and Halo.

Fuck yeah!

Whenever someone subscribes to EvE my heart feels a bit lighter, its an awesome game, excellent design and the only game that truly goes for the role as a space fantasy sim, there are no restrictions in the game besides your own fear of loss.. gah I love EvE.

If you've just started ill be blunt with you; Get A Corp. Based on what you like to do, you better find a corp to join Asap, not only will it help you progress x100 it will improve your fun, EvE is essentially a group game, going solo in EvE is only for the most hard of the hardcore, id say a hardcore EvE player makes other hardcores look like pussies.

Here is a bit o`Sage Advice:

1. Stop missioning for a sec and ponder, take your ship out into space and let it drift towards the sun and start to think about these simple questions:

- I am in an enormous world, even if I tried to explore it all, It probably would take months to see it all, and the again, there would be wormhole space, unknown systems that will be left unexplored.

- There are no "Paths" or constrains, Even if I continue with what I am doing now, it will only leave me with harder missions and such, its only a job in the game, not THE game like questing is for most MMOs; do I want to live my life as a Mission Runner?

- EvE is like a real world, you can become ANYTHING! what do i want to do?` What is my desire? Piracy? Wars and Fleet engagements? Do I have aspirations to be a trader? a mega trade corporation leader? A space trucker? And Industrialist? A Miner? A figther pilot? Mercenary? Scientist? Inventor? Smuggler? Tyrant or Liberator?

You can be anything, only your imagination, drive and skill limits you.

There are no limits, as the new intro tells you: Dare to bold pilot, dare to be bold.

2. When you have discovered what you want to do, or atleast some form of direction, find a corportion that suits you, A newbie is worth GOLD in EvE, if you find the rigth corporation, you will be treated well, given ships and cash to help you out(tho ppl have a distrust towards those who are still on the free trial)

3. Your hopefully in a good place by now, find out if there is anything else you want out of EvE, are you tired of corporation life? do you want to plunder the seven seas of EvE by joining up with a Pirate Group? Or do you wish to hunt the bastards by becoming a bounty hunter?

There are always different paths to take, you can even become a swindler, its allowed. No gms that tell you NO, no rules, no restriction other than what the different player controlled regions and npc empires gives you, and even these can be broken

4. Learn EvE History, this is paramount, its not only fun and awesome to read about the incredibly diverse political inferno that is EvE, the world wars, the drama and intrige, not only can this help you when dealing with different aspects of eve, it makes everything so much more ALIVE!

No other game in existence has a comparable history to the one of EvE, there are thousands of stories, tales of epic campaigns, lost empires, golden eras, the fall of Tyrants and Oppressors, rebellions, betrayals and backstabbing.

"Drool"

Personally I am on a long break, My clan and alliance just won a many year long war against bob/Kenny crushing the last of their resistance in which called the end of the second EvE World War.

Months of constant demanding Fleet Operations burned me out, I think ill be back somewhere around the launch of "Dune 416" the tie IN mmo ccp is developing.

I still got my account active though, do you have Xfire?
