Anyone who Pirates games which they are sure they`l like or dozen`t buy them after they`ve confirmed that its good; is an asshole of great proportions and should be burned alive then dropped in some African mass grave.

we just got the sku for the prestige edition at my store, and theyve been reserved like crazy. the nvg's are a nice touch, but im not willing to pay 150 for it. mainly because i already have tekken 6 with the stick, and dj hero on hold (each at about 120+ dollars lol)

id prolly get it if i wasnt strapped for cash.

July 29, 2009 - Modern Warfare 2 PC buyers will just have to stick with the regular edition it seems.

Back when Infinity Ward first revealed both the Hardened and Prestige edition's for Modern Warfare 2, there was some confusion about which platforms this would be available on.

But now it's clear neither edition will be available for PC.

Speaking to IGN, Infinity Ward's Community Manager Robert Bowling confirmed what many PC owners have feared all this time.

"There will be no PC version of either collectors' editions," he said.

PC gamers didn't want the night vision goggles anyway, right?

Though we've known for a while that two downloadable Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map packs would hit Xbox 360 first before any other platform, it now appears that those two map packs could be the entirety of the shooter's downloadable content.

"We plan to launch two separate map packs for this title," Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith said of Modern Warfare 2's "online content" in a conference call, adding that over 8 million Call of Duty map pack downloads have been sold on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Said map packs are traditionally priced at 800 MS Points ($10) on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and usually hit PC a bit later on in the form of a free update. Infinity Ward, which is crafting Modern Warfare 2, released one map pack for the first Modern Warfare, while Treyarch has thus far produced three for the more recent Call of Duty: World at War.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 hits PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 10--the same day the Wii gets the original Modern Warfare and the DS gets Mobilized.

The more expensive editions is just a way of making more money, and everyone knows that the real money comes from the console games, the hardcore PC player is generally a guy who pays bills and can't spend to much in games, the hardcore console players have both men and kids with rich parents #)

Honestly, I will not give more than 50€ for the PC game.

50 Cent has recorded a cameo voiceover for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

There are some pictures of him visiting developer Infinity Ward over on his blog, This is 50. There you can see him "hanging out" with members of the band Good Charlotte and wearing a hat and some sunglasses. Cheer up, sir! Could be worse, could have been ten times!

As reported by Kotaku, Cent will provide "one of the squad voices in Multiplayer / Spec Ops".

You can expect to hear him say things like, "Reloading," "Watch your fire," "I'm down, get me up!", "Tango Down!" and "Oh no, I'm out of moisturiser!" Maybe not the last one.

Cent won't be the only star doing a cameo, according to Bowling. "He is one of quite a few casual cameos in the game, none of which I can name at this point," he said.

"Benji and Joel of Good Charlotte NOT being one of them. They're just good friends with Curtis and came along with him when he was here recently to check out his voice in the game."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on 10th November.

Infinity Ward has said Modern Warfare 2 may still get a public beta, and reassured us that multiplayer has been in development since "day-one" and remains a "major focus" of the game.

"As I've told you many times in the past, expect no public beta unless we announce otherwise," Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward community manager, said on his blog. "That is still the case. We would never say something as definitive as 'No Beta Ever!' as that's simply not how we work. We'll do an internal beta, if we feel a public one is needed, we'll explore that route as well."

"Multiplayer has been in development since day one of working on Modern Warfare 2, and this is the essential run-up to launch when we're playing everyday, hammering away on it to make sure it's as polished as can be by launch. As always, our internal QA team has daily multiplayer tests in addition to company-wide nightly MP tests we hold from the moment MP is in a running state throughout development."

"Multiplayer has always been and will always remain a major focus for the team at Infinity Ward and we would never ship a product we didn't feel lived up to the high standards we hold ourselves to," he added. "This decision allows us to deliver a more polished experience, which in the end, is what we all want."
