I have to say that remakes should be done with. I'm not saying FF7 suxx or anything, but the fact that producing something that's been (what?!?) a decade old already is, like, boooring.

What I vouch for is that they focus on the new FF series and not just centralizing it on the console that'd rack them cash. The PSP port off FF7 was bad enough, I tell you..I seriously thought they redid the graphics but it was all meeeeeh~

Regadless, although new generations of gamers want to play FF7 because it's popular, I'm pretty sure they'll forget about other great titles aside from the aforementioned. Like the FF Tactics, whose port was also TERRIBLY done (just gameplay-wise, of course). I really have to say that Sony should just stop looking at what's worked and start on what's REALLY gonna work.

Yet for absurd reasons unbeknownst to me, they're (Square-Enix) remaking all their older FFs if
you hadn't noticed. And they're almost up to VII. I used to think it wasn't going to happen either,
but now I just think with how big and how many projects SE is doing currently with Fabula Novalis
series, they have the time, the resources, and the manpower for it.

All they're waiting for probably is someone to say: "Okay, go." (if they're not already making it)
---but who knows for what systems(s).

yeah, but with FF7? I mean, it's a highly overrated game and all..and then they want a remake. T___T Unless they put something interesting other than graphic-upgrade then hell-yeah okay!!

But if it's just the same old then I guess it won't be on my list to say the least.

I did hear that rumor too, about FFVII remake in PS3, and I thought it has been remade.
the graphic is good, as good as the movie.

Well, if Square-Enix does indeed plan on remaking it, they're doing a hell of a job lying. Back when the tech demo was released, they eventually announced that it was just that, a tech demo, and that no remake would be done. Granted, they have been doing remakes since then which werent announced at the time, so it may very well still happen. I'm not holding my breath for this one, but if by some miracle it is indeed made, then it'll be something I'll make sure to pick up, once I get my hands on a new PS3 >.>

I saw a website where square said they wanted to remake it but with the same team as the original Final Fantasy 7, with ain't available at the moment since they are working on Final Fantasy 13&14, after those... who knows.

yeah, I have to agree...with the current FFs I doubt it will be done, knowing how huge the memory the FF13/14 demo already took in the HDD. And there has got to be some plans on the next FF on the PS3, no doubt about that. so yeah...
