You follow a main storyline, and do quests that can be partied, but some quests have to be solo'd. And finding people to party with is easy. Just shout out what quest you are doing and people are always willing to help.
But, the only problem is the content of the game.
THERES NOT A WHOLE LOT OF IT!!!!!
I mean, the game is definetly for casual players. If you play the game everyday for a month, no doubt you will catch up to the very extent of the game. And once you hit like lv. 35, its very hard to lv up, mainly because theres no more quests for lv 35's +.
But, it is a very good game. They even just had a event where you can create your own demon. The event is over, but some lucky person had their own demons created which is cool. And they always have raffles and crap like that going on. And the GM's are pretty cool. Oh, and gear don't make a whole lot of difference(they kinda do if you want to be godly), so you can make your character look like anything. I was going for the luffy look, even though I was a mage.
Oh, and there is no class system, you just make your own build as you go along.
Making it a retarded game. If you level to 35 through quests and afterwards there's no more, they're basically saying "yea, we said it was quest-based, but we changed our minds, and by now you've spent a decent amount of time in this game, so suck it up and buy shit with real cash to level faster".

Might of missed a couple.
I don't believe that by looking for 'free to play' games he's looking for a 'pay to win' one.
IRL is a pretty upstanding MMO with thousands of classes, a lot of PvP and even some pretty unique emotes and titles you can acquire. Explore that world first, then we'll talk about this virtual one.
