Yeah 10 - 2 is pretty fun. The best one was 9.
8 Was a joke, stealing other peoples moves? Pffftt. 7 Was pretty nice, but I didn't like the "Lego" look the characters had, I aways hated Segas. The swearing on 7 was pretty funny though. Hated the movie, advent children though. It's horrid.
See you all in Hell.

Final Fantasy IX, X and XII is some of the best rpg games i have played, they're just so epic. I'm really looking forward to when they'll release XIII but it seems i will have to get a ps3 when that time comes

ive played most of them except for the first 2nd and third. i liked 9 the best. great story, great music, and the heroine dagger was awesome. the cut scenes were pretty good too. i kinda liked X and X-2 but i hated tidus. the "YEA LETS GET EM'!!!" overly excited attitude was kinda annoying.
i liked the quicker paced battle system of X-2. made it more challenging. as for XII i dont know what to say. i liked the music tho. especially the FFXII rendition of clash on the big bridge. i seriously cant wait for FFvsXIII |

Final Fantasy 6Japanese is an amazing game and tops my list easily. That's a bit unfair, though, I assume, because I haven't played the Japanese versions of the others. Even prior to playing the Japanese version, though, I enjoyed 6 better than the rest because of the engagement of the characters.
Seven was always close on its heels because of what I saw it attempting to do; be a fast-moving game with an amount of character and story depth, and I got really wrapped up in all of the possible symbolism. Really, it's the symbolism and pace that elevated it so for me. I enjoyed Eight on the first playthrough or so, but found myself getting bored by how it seemed to drag on or jump from event to event with clear seams sometimes. I liked the flashy action, the romance, and the general plot idea, and had a great time with the Junction system and kicking Omega's ass, but I felt that every part of the game was lacking in some way, even in its good points. I never really did get into FF4. I just didn't enjoy it while playing. I'll have to go back and try it with cheats to see the development and characters, and do so with the retranslated version. FFV was just BS. I still have yet to play 9-X-2, or get very far in 12. This will be remedied. |

As I said in another topic, I enjoyed seven, but that was largely because I liked trying to figure out possible symbolic ties. The depth of the Sephiroth-JENOVA relationship really intrigued me. The problem was that 7 was slower than 8 and lacked the interesting aspects of 6. The characters were still interesting, but it just wasn't an outstanding game to me. The story of it, the plot, was good, it just wasn't well-executed. I've always debated about whether I like 7 or 8 more, and I'm not very fond of either of them in the end.
Then again, who knows what the Japanese was like. |
