Recomendations for RTS?
So fellow forumers, can anyone recommend a new RTS for me?
I've played and enjoyed all the Dawn of War games, I like the Civilisation-style games (although shorter playtime is better) and Warcraft 3 style ones too. I have no preference for fantasy/realistic/future/past/present or anything. |

Re: Recomendations for RTS?
I'd recommend Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander.
Also the Command and Conquer games, save for the latest one(s). |

Re: Recomendations for RTS?
C&C save the latest one? I thought that one was supposed to be the best (according to to internet reviews)
Much thanks for Supreme Commander though, I've heard the interface is a little hard to manage is this true? |

SUPREME COMMANDER!!! hands down =p
it has a high learning curve, but if you're a regular RTS gamer, u'll learn it quick. Battles are friggin HUGE... but u gotta have a decent comp to run it |

Re: Recomendations for RTS?
Try Empire Earth, C&C Generals: Zero Hour, Sins of a Solar Empire.
PS: try costume maps for Warcraft3: FT, I loved footman frenzy, DOTA, various tags, tower defences,… find them [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Command & Conquer series. And C&C 3 rocks. Also Universe at War looks great but I haven't played it yet.

Re: Recomendations for RTS?
If you consider yourself an RTS junky (or just a fan) you CANNOT pass up having tried Starcraft at LEAST ONCE.
It is dated, but to this day it is arguably the single best RTS ever made. The plus side is you dont need a massive PC to run it and it'll be dirt cheap to buy (or easy to downnload, tho I wouldnt condone downloading it, with authentic CD keys you can log on to Bnet and half the fun of SC is playing online...). Total Annihilation is also a great game, also rather dated tho (prob WILL have to download it, its rare to see it for sale these days). Its Spiritual successor, Supreme Commander, is rather Epic, but you need a nice PC to actually run it, it can really drag a system down to its knees. Lots of good suggestions so far, cant really go wrong with anything mentioned thus far.
