looking for a good rpg for the ps2
I have so far played tales of the abyss, star ocean, final fantasy x and xii, kingdom hearts i and ii
any suggestions? |

Go with the Suikoden series. Games 1 and 2 are pretty good, 3 is good, 4 is decent, and from I have played of 5, it seems to be better than 4. Suikoden 1 + 2 are for PS though and they aren't cheap, so Suikoden 3 is a good bet for ya (PS2).

suikoden series never give disappointment
try search 4 tales of eternia series and if u want somewhat complicated story play xenosaga series valkyrie profile iz 1 of my favorites give wat kind of rpg type u like, coz good RPG game iz damn huges!!! |

ff x-2. ff XII, dragon quest 8 (STRONGLY RECOMMENDED), suikoden (any), wild arms (4 and 5), dark cloud (1 and 2), any of the tales series, megaman x command mission (if you are really fan of megaman, otherwise i dont recommend it), breath of fire dragon quarter, shin megami tensei: persona 3, rogue galaxy, and not a rpg like but try harvest moon a wonderful life special edition, its a great game try it, if you wanna check some ps2 games i recommend you this page where you can see almost every ps2 games:

What do you consider as being a good rpg? I'm tired of the games where battles zoom into a turn based one on one hitfest (FF series) and prefer combat like FF tactics.

If you like Rpgs in wich characters can be builded (as FFXII) but you are tired of the basic system, then you could try "Makai Kingdom". It's a Tactical Rpg wich allows high level of customization in chars and scenarios, and gives great freedom to play.
