Microsoft's E3 presentation summary


Geometry Wars 2 - MULTIPLAYER!
Fallout 3 - nothing really new.
Fable 2 - you character gets shat on by a bird in the intro movie. Little orbs wandering around are your Live friends that have the game. The orbs show where your friends are so if you go up to one and press A it will invite him into the game. He'll appear where his orb is. No lobbies.
Gears of War 2 - You have a rendezvous with death. Co-op looks cool. Game still looks good. Oh and new mode for MP. Horde Mode will allow five players to take on wave after wave of locusts.
Scene It Blockbuster - another scene it. It uses avatars.
Avatars - A better version of Miis.
You're in the Movie - Use the vision cam to act out movie scenes and then be placed in generic B movies.
Lips - Singstar but developed by the guy that made Gitaroo Man and Elite Beat Agents.
Final Fantasy XIII - On 360.
Rock Band 2 - timed exclusive for 360. Full set list has been posted.
Resident Evil 5 - online co-op
Netflix - Some malarkey about watching Netflix movies for free on Live instead of waiting for mail.

Im honestly satisfied with the 360 press conference. Ill probably never play it, but Im glad that the FF franchise is no longer ps3 exclusive. I wasnt too impressed with Fallout, but GOW 2 looks freaking amazing. So is the 5 player coop only for the horde mode?

Sony E3 summary

-littleBigplanet is now a must-own for me.
-PRICE DROP!!! 80GB BluRay Player with DS3 controller for $399??? There isn't a better deal on the market.
-inFamous looks good
-Resistance 2 I was already buying, I cannot wait to take down that giant.
-Gran Turismo TV looks cool, I love international racing, so I might get Prologue now.
-MOVIES!!! and you can put them on your PSP!!! YAY!
-Still backing the PS2...not abandoning anyone----like Microsoft did with the XBOX 1. Good move.
-The new PSP bundles sounded great, and Resistance PSP looked great.
-MAG looks ok, sounds good as a concept, let's see the execution
-DC Universe Online, $5 preorder coming this week!!

Nintendo E3 summary

Casual gamer stuff, really. Although they announced a thing called WiiChat which allows you to talk to your friends while playing Animal Crossing:City Folk, and a peripheral called Wii MotionPlus, which is more sensitive to motion than just the Wii Remote. The peripheral is used for Wii Sports Resort and Wii Music was also announced. Everything else was crap.

So, while the MS press conference was pretty good the other two were rather........lackluster. Im sorry but there really wasnt anything there that impressed me (or my other roommates for that matter). Hopefully they can have more interesting stuff announced as the week progresses.

well all micro had that was worth mentioning was FF13 Sony unveiled GOW 3 and MAG(which is made by Zipper)

So to me I'd give Sony the upper hand but Nintendo on the other hand.......still has me wondering who the hell is buying Wii's.....>_>

Ummm...duh

I saw that coming once the news about the PS3 loosing money in sales was obvious. Any company who creates a game and expects that soloing they're game for ps3 is going to make them they're money back, well then...those companies fail....

Thus, random BS like making a final fantasy game for the xbox...makes all the sense....
