I buy my anime and manga, but it's too expensive and it's very rare and complicated to obtain... So I begin to download and pay only fee for membership... It's that legal?

Why big player like Itunes don't make it's aivailiabe? Download and keep geat quality animes episodes for few bucks... And the old think, like the 80-90 anime, it's very hard to obtain!!!

Any idea about that?

if it is illegal, then the government would ban it.
but then it would turn down large part of the www functions, so they dint ban it.

illegal no matter how u look at it. Unauthorised distribution is never legal. lol...
But not much they will do about it. If they do ban it , who will subscribe for better internet connection?
I think all will just go for the bare minimum internet plan, which will hit those tele comm industry quite hard?

I think that, as long as said show isn't licensed in your country, it isn't illegal. I don't even think the downloading is illegal at all, it's the uploading that's illegal. As downloader, you just use what's on the net, you didn't break the copyright by ripping it.

It is illegal, but there are far too many people who do it for them to track it, it would be a huge waste of money.

So they instead go for the uploaders, however, it's not hard to hide. It's also not hard to simply set up in a different country. Plus, if the anime is not licensed by a corporation in your country, then there wont be anyone to sue you. Basically, the state doesn't care, and it's unlikely that the corporations are going to go out of their way to sue people they can't find - not to mention the fact that people who watch anime online also watch anime on television and they're also the major person who'd buy dvds, it's actually good advertising.

I buy. It's cheap because there are so few good ones, you can probably get them all for under $100.

most people say it's illegal, but it is only when it is licensed in your country. in my case, most GOOD anime (popular series comes to mind) are either aired but not finished or not aired or distributed at all. thus i have to resort to downloading to satisfy my needs.

It's illegal. Singapore offers a [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Sadly, despite being a law student, I haven't covered intellectual property and copyright law yet, so I can't really comment further on the matter =(

I am the head admin of a site which you might call illegal because u can download everything free so u ask is this illegal We have been riposted b4 and our site wasn't tooken down and basically if your the one downloading them u cant get in trouble only the one allowing the hosting can so since all our links are to megupload ect its not illegal so I would say its only illegal if u get caught :P I personaly hardly pay for anything anymore but some1 has paided for it lol
