First Tutorial: Cellshaded Look.
Hey all, I'll tell you how to get a good cellshaded effect on any photo.
Requirements for the tutorial: Photoshop CS2 or CS3 (Or the CS4 Beta). That said, lets get on with the tutorial. 1. Open Photoshop up and load any picture into it. (For the tutorial I'm using a sample picture that comes with Vista) 2. Go to Filter > Artistic > Cutout. 2.5. Set the settings to what it is in the picture. * ![]() 3.After that, it should look like this. ![]() 4. Now go to Filter > Brush Strokes > Accented Edges. 4.5. Again, set the settings to what is shown in the picture. ![]() 5.You are now done and it should look like a cartoonyish (Best description I could think up) version of the photo. *The amount of levels in Cutout can vary it doesnt necessarily matter what it is set to. So hees a comparison: Photo A: ![]() Photo B: ![]() If you think about it, the tutorial is pretty basic but I found it was good for a first tutorial made. Tell me how you like it :). |
