Boxing images into rectangles with rounded edges
1. Open the image you would like to box: ![]() 2. From the Tools click the shape tools and choose the "Rounded Rectangle Tool". To choose the tool click the tiny black arrow on the shape tool's low right corner (circled in red). It will open the shape tool options: ![]() 3. You must make sure that you have chosen the "Paths" option from the Shape tool properties (in the top bar): ![]() 4. Now draw a rectangle with the shape tool according to the size you wish: ![]() 5. Now choose the "Paths" palette. If it isn't visible go to the "windows" menu and make sure "Paths" is marked with a "V" next to it. Once in the "paths" palette, from the bottom row click what looks like a circle made out of dots (circled in red). This will turn your path into a selection: ![]() 6. You will notice that now the path is a selection in your image: ![]() 7. Now all you have to do is copy the selection into your new image (by pressing CTRL+C to copy and then in your new image press CTRL+V to paste). Here's the result: ![]()
