MEGAUPLOAD Toolbar DOES NOT Contain Spyware!

USA has the FBI everyone knows its there and they agree to it, the FBI (supposedly) listens to phone conversations. And by you’re definition the FBI isn’t spying on people because they agree to it.

only ones that are monitored by the FBI/CIA Etc... Are people who have commited major crimes, and or might be terrorists. And they can't monitor 24/7.

They are spying becasue it's without the person't knowledge That way to prevent Future Crimes/Terrorist Acts. They Don't tap every1, becassue there isn't enough People in the Agencies to listen to Every Phone cal...

The Megaupload Toolbar stated in the User agreement that it will send website data for their Site ranking. So it's not spying if you know it's going on.

A Spy is "Someone who secretly watches other people" If you know it's there, and they tell you that they are there, then it isn't spying...

Antispyware detects cookies, nobody installed gamespyarcade because it was spyware anything that monitors you’re activity is called spyware. There’s white spyware (the user usually knows it’s there and it doesn’t do any damage or records passwords) and black spyware (there whiteout the user’s knowledge and is usually used to record passwords and user activity). Megaupload toolbar is white spyware thus is relatively harmless, just like tracking cookies.

Yea, but according to your earlier post, u said that spyware is "without the user's informed consent" In this case, it has been told that it will send info, so it's not spyware, becasue u know that it's there. and what it's doing.
Only reason for it to not be in your "informed consent" is if you don't read the agreement.
In terms with that, if you don't read the "User agreement" then it's your own fault for calling it spyware. I'm saying this becasue there are people calling it Bad Spyware, which it isn't. Please stop arguing, It's not spyware becasue u know it's there and it is notified to you with your consent.

Let's just drop this argument, because it isn't going anywhere.

Well, im not sure whether it's a spyware or not, but i think it does quite some damage to my computer coz i remembered last time when i downloaded the toolbar, my whole comp crashed and i cant open the "My Computer" directory till my cousin fix it for me. Although you claimed that it's not a spyware but what i know is, it does cause some chaos to me and my poor comp >.<

Since then, i never even think of downloading the toolbar for a second time.

I guess this reopens the discussion, the megaupload toolbar definitely does not contain viruses or any harmful data. You’re computer must have crashed for a different reason or if you’re using heavily modified pirate software it could cause some malfunction. (I’ve seen it installed on various PC, and if it were harmful the site would have been shut down years ago)

Well, I used that megaupload toolbar in 3 different computer and laptop but nothing happened. So, I doubt there is any spyware or harmful data in them. Probably just installation problem which cause your com to crash.

Same here i use it on two dif pc, about 2 years now and no problem here, and i have to reinstall the windows at lest twice a year, and it works right every time.

Hmm... maybe because it's because of my old OS. Mine is windows 98. Maybe that's the reason for it. Thanks for telling me :P
