I downloaded City of Sin and see nothing both on winamp and on windows media player. What codex are you using ? I get a orange exclamation mark next the file in windows media player and a bad codex warning and i hear only audio on winamp and no movie. On media player i only see those accu drawings like sphere etc

I use "Media Player Classic" which comes with the CCCP Codec from
http://www.cccp-project.net/ View it with that and u prety much won't have hardly any video problems ^.^ ![]() |

Divx is alright, but the codec is useless when playing other file types.
MPC playes AVI, MKV, OGM, RM, RMVB. Divx don't play all thoes, and MPC uses less computer memory to play the vids also. the CCCP Codec pack with MPC is best all around Player Codec so far. I rarely have any problems, and if any occur, I use VLC player as a last resort. ![]() |

I just use VLC media player. Plays almost everything and no codecs required for download.

I use a media decoder called ffdshow which pretty much gets ride of the need to use codec packs. I also use KMPlayer which kinda makes having ffdshow redundant since it contains most things including MKV, but ffdshow is just so convenient.

Go with what ElderKain said and use the CCCP pack. Also download and install GOM player. Its better then VLC player in that it can request information online about files that it doesnt recognize and update itself to play it. VLC player is good as a last resort player. Good luck!
