My computer currently have three media player. The 1st is the Windows Media Player 11, the 2nd one is the Real Player and the 3rd one is KM-player. Here's my problem, if possible, i would like to make my Windows Media Player as the main default player of my media files.
Main problem: When i want to play a regular DVD using Media Player, i can get the video running and the subs working, but the audio couldnt be heard (which means i cant hear a thing from my DVD >.< ) After that, i downloaded XP Codec Pack and i manage to get the audio part working and the video running, but now new problem arise as the subs are not working >.< ) Minor problem: Is there any other alternative player that i can use to play major ( or MOST, is better) file types with ONLY ONE other player other than Windows Media Player? I dont wanna have so many players as they're using up my system resources T.T If possible, just another player would be enough. I wish to have only two player in my comp, that is the default Windows Media Player and the other alternative. In desperate need of professional advices and recommendation. Please help me... |

Re: HELP NEEDED!!!! IN A.S.A.P about Windows Media Player
I have Media Player Classic installed with CCCP. I never ever use the default Windows Media Player. MPC can be used for anything.
You should uninstall everything including any codec pacs and install this: http://www.cccp-project.net/download.php?type=cccp (Don't be fooled by the appearance of the site.) :P |

Re: HELP NEEDED!!!! IN A.S.A.P about Windows Media Player
Or just use K-Lite mega codec pack, its one of the best.
I've never had any trouble with it. But there is one issue that I face. When I tried to play a few videos with WMP9, the video's colors got all messed up and all I got is a black and white video with the colors being dragged down or something. But it was probably my fault, as I tried to install and reinstall my codecs a few times and then tried to install WMP11. Then I reverted back to WMP9, but still the same problem. Maybe if there's a way to adjust the codecs for WMP9.... |

Re: HELP NEEDED!!!! IN A.S.A.P about Windows Media Player
oo....i've heard people around using the cccp codecs with the media player classic but is it really that good? I mean, i know the player can play most type of files but when you play the file, you have to open the player 1st, then drag the file you wanna play into the player like KM-player or just double click on the file you wish to play and then media player classic will automatically plays it? I've also heard about the K-Lite codec pack but the sites where i saw them said that the codec pack may contains malware or spyware so i kinda scared to download ^_^'

Re: HELP NEEDED!!!! IN A.S.A.P about Windows Media Player
Just double-click and it's done. ^__^
If You really want to play everything You'll need a real alternative codec in addition to CCCP. But it's possible it's included in the latest versions. |
