The DownloadHelper add-on for firefox basically logs videos request from the Flash video player so that you can download those videos for offline viewing. it's a great way to save videos from YouTube and such.
I disagree that it's an alternative to P2P, though. Videos hosted on web sites tend to be pretty low quality, as they're meant for streaming. On P2P, you usually see high quality encodes -- sometimes outright raws (FLAC, VOB, ISO, etc.). |
