Gameboy Advance for PSP
So anyway, if you have firmware 1.0 or 1.5 or even 3.71 OE-A M33 (With the help of dark alexs homebrew enabler) it is possible to emulate games from a gameboy advance, How? you might ask well i'm feeling generous so i'll walk you through it
You will need only one of these depending on your firmware Version, Note: i'm not providing you with GBA Games. For Firmware 3.71 OE-A M33 you will need http://www.megaupload.com/?d=R3C0RY60 For Firmware 1.0 and 1.5 you will need this one, both eboots for 1.5 and 1.0 are contained within this zip http://www.megaupload.com/?d=230GQZMU For Firmware Version 3.71 extract the files to ?:\PSP\GAME\GPSP you need a Game boy advance bios but i have included it in the files, after its been extracted disconnect your psp and run it, if you get a blue screen with gba_bios.bin on the left and ... on the right then its working correctly, so disconnect your psp and open up the path ?:\PSP\GAME\GPSP again in the GPSP folder along with the eboot is where you place your games, if your neat and tidy like me you can create an extra folder called roms and store your games in there, this folder will show to in GPSP under the ... on the right. then your all done the default controls for GPSP are as follows -A is O -B is X D-PAD is D-PAD :P Start and Select are exactly that and the triggers are your right and left on your psp Note: For certain games like Pokemon you are required to change the flash memory in order for it to save this can be done by starting GPSP and press X before you start any game and scrolling done until you hit Flash ROM Type and change it to 128KB, THIS HAS TO BE DONE EVERYTIME YOU ENTER GPSP before you start the game, this is only for certain games, some games may be content to save with 64kb flash memory which is fine. after you have selected the flash memory type simply scroll down more and press O on load new game which will take you back to the main screen. For 1.0 All the files go in the same spot as 3.71 For 1.5 However things are different you must Extract the GPSP to ?:/PSP/GAME/ and the GPSP% Folder to ?:/PSP/GAME150/ And your Set to start pokemoning :D, one last thing this emu is STILL in Beta stages so not all games will work properly and some may not work at all, ones tested by me are Pokemon Fire Red, Pokemon Leaf Green, Ruby and Sapphire, and fire emblem and some games may have dodgy sound. Also IT MAY be possible to run this game on different 3.XX version of dark alex's firmware using the homebrew enabler but im not sure when the homebrew enabler was first released or what firmware was first released with it, last note it MAY ALSO be possible to run this using devhook for other firmwares NOT TESTED THOUGH so im not responsible if something happens. If you have any questions or troubles ask And if you liked this take the time to leave a +Rep Please |

Re: Gameboy Advance for PSP
That's a nice tut! BTW, I have a 3.51 m33(not 3.71...) All I've got to do is to find the 3.51 m33 ver and do the exact method as you've written, right? Thank You.

Re: Gameboy Advance for PSP
Yes, if i'm right then the one that works on 3.71 should work on any 3.XX m33 version so just follow the tut
![]() If it doesn't work then all i can suggest is flashing your psp to 3.71 or higher but i'm pretty sure all of the version of dark alex's firmware higher than 2.71 use the homebrew enabler which in turn allows you to run GPSP Last edited by Aur0ra : 03-02-2008 at 04:23 AM. |

Re: Gameboy Advance for PSP
I used that some time ago, and had a problem with the Speed. I wanted to play Worldchampionship (the yugi oh game) and it worked, but was VERY slow. Does any1 know how to get it faster?
