At the beginning of the Galactic Calendar (Christian Calendar 2022), mankind accessed free roaming inside the Solar System thanks to the creation of "space-time gates".

But some day, an accident happened at one of those gates. The Hero, Spike, as well as the Bebop crew, is propelled into an entirely new universe.

They somehow managed to get to a nearby planet, but as they try to think of a way to get back to their original universe, a mysterious army force attacks! Spike has no choice but to try to defend the crew with the Sword Fish II
