Its been awhile since the new Gundam series

Genres: Drama, Mecha, Military, Science Fiction

Plot Summary: It is the year A.D. 2307. Fossil fuels on Earth have been depleted entirely, with mankind turning to the next available power source: solar energy. During this time, 3 orbital elevators with solar power generation systems are built, each under control by the Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations (formerly United States of America), the Human Reform League (Russia, China and India) and the Advanced European Union. However, not all countries are able to enjoy the benefits of this system, leading to widespread resentment and war. Arising out of the conflict, a mysterious non-profit military organization known as Celestial Being appears, dedicated to end all warfare using Mobile Suits called Gundam. This begins the stories of Gundam Meisters (pilots) Setsuna F. Seiei, Lockon Stratos, Allelujah Haptism and Tiera Erde as they are thrown into conflict between the 3 superpowers and the other various factions.

There will be 2 part of this series i think, after the first part they are going to air Code Geass Season 2 i think Woohoo:em0160: but not til like next March or April

Cool it was actually a different clip then the one i saw before , the one i saw before only last for like 16 seconds.

It looks pretty cool , the main character looks like look one of those type that doesnt talk much and stay cool ... i love those kind of characters :beautifu2:

i know and i found one that shows 5 new gundams and they all look so cool :beautifu2:... one kinda looked like the Strike Gundam with the Buster pack, or was it the launcher pack?

But for dome strange reason, did anyone notice that the new Gundams .... well their Head anyway looks nearly the same ? Still looks pretty cool, yea some how it reminds me of strike gundam from the start with nothing equiped . :monk:

at least there's no more of SEED ^_^. bad news though: to those who don't know, the series will be split into 2 seasons when airing, pretty much:

Season 1 ends----> Sunrise brings out Code Geass season 2 or something else. once thats done----> Season 2 of 00 airs

Yea i guess so ... Even though i use to like Seed , but nah still prefer Wing and the older one over it. At least this time the universe is the same as us, not just some imagine universe =P

well the actucal release date in Japan is 06-10-07, which is tomorrow :em0160:.... but then again u have to wait for ppl to sub it so .... not for a whie (=.=)

finally, ive been looking forward for a new gundam series since the end of seed destiny, i hope that they make the story more focused on the conflict than the character's own affairs which made the seed series looked like a melodrama. besides gundam was created for pure action

SEED and SEED Destiny were total crap. 00 isn't.

i found it ironic and funny about how Setsuna said that he didn't believe in God, then (a possible messenger of) God Gundam (yeah, thats a pun) shows up and pawns all the grunts :em096:

Hmm.....:monk: after watching the second episode, now i think that the Celestial Being are actually qutie strong . But i really dont think thats enough to stop the war .

Still the new Gundams are pretty cool , my favourtie are Exia and Dynames :em0160:

Yea ^^ 3rd episode is out ... Just finished watching it. One thing really surpraise me is that , they actually manage to change the world with force like stopping the war which lasted for 400 years .

I have to admit, this series is pretty good. I got away from Gundam for a while because after Gundam Wing, there were few that could top it, though Endless Waltz was an exception. But this series is really bringing me back.

Did you watch Gundam Seed. Its good, I for one do not like Gundam Wing. It seems different people different taste. If you had seen Gundam Seed, you will fid that the gundam in 00 is no match for Freedom and Justice

Gundam Seed was a shallow rehash of the UC series. The characters are very static and Kira's god mode + no kill policy got very annoying because it's something only a kid could reason--like taking people's guns away in a war and expecting the ones who have guns to not kill the unarmed people they hate. Watch 08th MS team for a good series.

What you say has its point but this also shows that Kira is strong since without killing anyone he can still end a battle
And come on, if he keep killing people, just how many people will come back for revenge. It will just never end

Strong but he still can't even match up against pilots such as Camille, Jadau and Amuro. Aside from that, I won't list the amount of poses they overused and stock animation they kept using in Seed and Seed Destiny.

So far, I'm pretty happy with the series. To me, even though the Gundams are excellent machines it doesn't mean they are the best pilots. Another thing that makes it interesting is that the militaries are reacting how I'd believe they would as far was quickly adapting to new tatics to battle the Gundams and ways to try to detect them.

I did the same thing, but now that 00 is out it really has re opened my taste for gundams since I haven't watched a series since the release of wing. But now that I've started this series I feel like I should go back and watch seed, from what I heard from friends, they said it was really good.

But this series definitely peaks my interest almost bringing gundams even closer to a somewhat real life situation or possibility.
