[Requesting Info] MKV conversions for Adobe Premier

I have some anime eps which are MKV/Dual Audio, and I'm wanting to make a AMV using scenes from the eps.
When I try to import to Adobe Premier, MKV isn't a supported Import Type.
Also If possible a way to convert vids that have codec issues which couldn't be imported before.

So how can I convert it to where I can, becasue Every time I try to import any other vid, it says I don't have the supported codec, or it will import, but the video layer isn't visible to where I can't edit it.

Please help if ne1 can.

well Elderkain, someone recommend mediacoder which is a freeware but I did not test it yet.

MediaCoder v0.3.9 - freeware audio/video transcoder, which includes a lot of different audio and video tools under one program.

anyway, do you know Sony Vegas? when I try to import vid there is just sound but not video streams, I'll try to use the solution Zephyr posted and see if it'll work :)

..... This has no relevance to my request, becasuse i'm not having a codec problem. I neet to convert it to like an AVI but without any Xvid or Divx Encoding, becuase Adobe Premiere doesn't allow thoes 2.

this is why I need this, why can't they just buy the lisence for it and extend AP to those codecs >___> OR BETTER, WHY DOES SONY VEGAS NOT? :P

I'd be nice if I could use .mkv's directly in a MM program but what are the chances that THAT will happen? lol

Search on the google as storm codec. You can download it for free any kinds of format type file it can run, this software never let me down. I hope it work for you too.:em0141:

I'm not looking for Codecs!
and besides the CCCP codec is a hell of a lot better than anything else.
