Naruto Shippuuden is the continuation of the original animated TV series Naruto. The story revolves around an older and slightly more matured Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the grips of the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoha, and sets about putting his ambitions to work, though it will not be easy, as He has amassed a few (more dangerous) enemies, in the likes of the shinobi organization; Akatsuki.

So far there are 16 episodes . From 14 through 16 it has been getting more interesting. I really cant wait till 17 comes out.What do you think about the series?

TBH... the new series is kinda meh, imo...

i was a fan of the original... but this series is just progressing WAY TO SLOW for my tastes.... plus instead of having full episodes of fillers, they took the liberty of also putting the fillers IN the actual non-filler episodes...

ah well... after all this, i still find myself watching it every week as it comes out.... *sigh...

I admit, I've only seen a few episodes (and I've still yet to see the first Naruto!) but I do like this and would like to back into it. I wonder though, I can't help reading about things dragging on... does this mean it'll suffer from the Dragon Ball Z Freeza phenomenon? Remember how long THAT fight took? I seriously hope it won't be like that. Well... at least there's still the manga.

at this point in time i really think that sasuke would win..but i believe we have not seen everything that naruto can do so its hard to tell at this point in the anime/manga

Naruto and Kakashi are cooler too, though Kakashi hasn't changed that much. Sakura's much better, not the annoying obssessed-about-Sasuke girly girl.

I think Shippuuden is sorta dragging it out to bring out the tension and suspense. I like it, even though I want to know what happens but has to wait for the next one to come out. It's still really good!!

O remember when sakrua heals kankuro? that only took a WHOLE episode.

Yea, i think shippuuden is very anoying.
They took out the filler episodes and insert some filler scenary, and are abusing of repetitive scenes.
To enter the cave was 2 episodes (or 3 ?)

I simply can watch 1 epi. and skip 5 and yet i can understand all the story.


The first season i liked very much, til the 80`s, after that, naruto was completely dead. I hate this thing now.

Episode 26 was especially epic, the whole episode was action packed. I don't want to spoil it but it was beautiful watching Sakura and Chio fight Satori.

I wish though they would have ended episode 26 differently though. The ending really wasn't that much of a cliff hanger or even the conclusive end to the battle. It just went with something just before the most memorable scene for me in the manga. I'm not gonna spoil it though.

I guess i will only really look forward to naruto shippuuden when it gets to a later part, at least till when naruto vs orochimaru.

Currently i feel that the episodes are dragging, 1 episode to only accomplish 1 task or 1 episode combining 2 fights together, making the progress slow.

I'm liking Shippuden. It's slow at times, but I find it funny that certain manga readers are calling it such. I mean, of course it's gonna seem slow...you know what's gonna happen next! I also dislike how people who didn't like the original Naruto are calling this one crap. Like....the core story isn't gonna change with the name, genius.

Impatient fans and anime snobs aside though, it's a pretty good show for what it is.

The Sasori fight is finally over, but I'm not happy, because he was my favourite Akatsuki member. I still hate the fact that my favourite character Dosu Kinuta had to die so easily in the early going of the series. I know it's a long way back, but I still haven't gotten over it. He had so much potential. Anyway, I don't look forward to the prolonged clone fights and the chasing of Deidara. I can't wait until they show Tobi.

I admit the new Shippuuden is a bit annoying on the note that the anime drags out everything pretty far. But still, the development of the characters are pretty cool, especially Sakura (Not too useful to full-fledged combat ninja).

I'm a little disappointed at Naruto the character though. Maybe it's the writing staff's idea to add suspense for Naruto's big scene, but I feel like he hasn't improved much yet.

On a final note, where's all that awesome soundtrack that is legendary from the first Naruto :( I missed all those suspenseful music and directing.

I had high hopes for Naruto: Shippuuden. I think some of it was due to being one of the few that actually watched every filler ep of Naruto. The only thing i haven't really liked was the pacing of the fights. Might have been better if they started off with the back story on how Kakashi got his eye. ;)

Trying to prevent spoilers....I'll just say that he's not related to Naruto. If you really want to know, in the manga, they introduced him already. So findig out who he isn't shouldn't be hard at all.

The Kakashi Gaiden(story of how Kakashi got his Sharingan) was suppose to be aired before Shippuuden, but guess it didn't. Least that's what I heard. It would of been totally awesomr though. Oh, and when you really look at it, those chapters can easily be animated into 20 minutes or so. I'm guessing, with enough people wanting it, it may come out to be a special, kind of like that Waterfall Village special. Least that's what I want it to be.

In that phase the tartar tiração of the he Leaves is too much

I like this series alot, the only thing that pisses me off is having an episode where there is 19 minutes of talking and 2 of fighting.

I like shipuden too. The one thing that's anoying me is that sometimes a week can pass in one episode, and sometimes a day can take 10 episodes. its annoying sometimes.

Hmm, I miss the first few episode. Didn't know that it came out, I stop watching the the first naruto series after sasuke leave the village. They keep adding in new story that is unrelated to the main story and find it quite boring.

As for Naruto Shippuuden, I find it quite nice, mostly faithful to the manga and I love the battle scene although its a little lengthy. Just wish they speed up and let Sasuke appear sooner. And the first opening song its cool too :wakuwaku:

So far they are following the manga pretty close. They are just moving very slow and I think it is because they are trying to not catch up to the manga. Eitherway I've liked it, just been moving a bit slow for me too. I will still watch it even though I've read the manga. :)
