IMO the dub ruined the Anime because screwed the voices in the dub they all sound evil and like there gonna jump out of the tv and rape you. >_> but the original series was amazing.

In most cases, the dubbed version usually ruin the image of the anime. Though there is the regular version, so you could always ignore the dubbed versions.

As for Deathnote, it's interesting. I knew about it for a while, but never got myelf to actually watch it. Until a the end of last summer, where I didn't know what to watch, and friends recommeneded Deathnote.

The concept is pretty simple, and the way things are dealt with is very interesting. Though the ending....no comment. Nice nonetheless.

Death Note is by far the beat anime i have watched.Story is briliant and suspenseful, soundtrack is A+, and it's characters are amazing!

i just started watching it last week and I am in love with it. Light is my new favorite anime character ever probably. I love how the author lets you choose whether hes a hero or a villain and he's so eerily smart. Brilliant

This anime is awesome. All those plotting and acting. Its so cool, pity L though. Ended up dead, but its nice for a change. But I just can't stop thinking of M&N, the chocolate. When I first see the name, its just hilarious

I once saw a notebook that was shaped and in the form of a death note at Borders... but I didn't know what death note was at the time. So I was like :wakuwaku: and went back to Borders about a year later after seening the notebook for the first time and I was walking in I was like can't wait! :beautifu2: Unfortunately they didn't sell it anymore. I could just order it, but yeah xD

Death Note is licensed by Viz Media. They subbed it for direct to drive while it was still coming out in Japan. (albeit slower than the fan subbing groups. 3 weeks < 1 week.) Now it is currently being dubbed in english and airs on adult swim at 12:00 AM on Saturdays.

I love Death Note that much to know all this. :P

I can't remember the dates but after episode 34, the news hit that death note was being licensed so all the fansubbers stopped subbing. I just remember my reaction when we couldn't see episode 35 and 36 but luckily someone subbed it =D
