Searching rare stuff - where?

well, i think it is not a common thread, however, i am interested, from where do you get rare stuff? I am searching for example for some japanese artbooks (for example from final fantasy), but dont know, where to search.

Can someone maybe help me or give me some good sites, programs whatever, where i can find really rare things?
