Requesting help for windows

I was wondering if anyone can provide me with or knows were I can find myself a copy of windows 2000 professional. I found one before using torrent searches and started to install it but after it removed 98 from the computer and started installing 2000 it told me that the iso was corrupted. now the pc asks for the disk containing 2000 professinal. any help would be greatly appreciated.

How come you just don't install XP? or can it not handle it?

probably not. I bought the pc in 1998. So i wanted to play online with my xbox 360. the cable company told me that i needed windows 2000 or higher. so i downloaded the iso in question and it ripped my balls off.:sic: I just basically need the pc to set up the service. after that i can just plug the 360 itself into the jack and comence the chaos. I'm trying to leave buying a new pc as a last resort. do you know if i can use an xp disc even though the installation was already begun with a 2000 professinal installation disk?

you need windows 2000 to configure the router or something? plugging the 360 right to the modem/router should work fine. XP should work on a 98 (if the specs are good enough o.O)I'm not sure about the xp disc and 2000 thing but give it a try o.O
