wha, 2 sigs in such a short time?! :em056: for a lazy otaku like me?! :em056: it should be raining right now!! :em056:
well, guess what, it is :em0141:
so yea, another siggie made with a screencap of Moetan 5.5
this time I tried to make a sig based on what I've seen from some other sigs on this forum
(even searched out a poem and used a bit of it :JFBQ00214070517A: )
anyway, this is the screencap

great to know  since I was really unsure if it'd look good or not :imc:
in the past I once installed PS on my laptop and used it on vacation, made a bunch of sigs, but when I came back and checked them on my desktop they were all ugly :JFBQ00197070418B:
so since then I'm always unsure of the end result when working on another desktop with PS xD

Well you shouldnt be, you should be confident with the programe. and confident with your outcome. :) i like all of your work so far :P

lol, I'm rarely confident in my works, cuz I know there are always better people then me out there xD
itz very simple, but itz good!! lolz
but I think u should change the square BG, 4 my reason, becoz itz not suit with the girlz pics as the main pics
and play with some fonts maybe??? strict line fonts itz not too good with ur words-----> juz my opinion ha4.....

hmm, thought squares actually looked good on it, if I didn't added them the background would be so empty
and aah, text, the thing I s*ck at xD actually thought I did better with the text then I normally do xD

i like the squares it gives you something that catches your eye.
yea there might be people out there better at what we do, you shouldnt think like that, mainly because you sould be able to say - this is mine - i made this to the best that i could. and then when you get lots of positive feedback you know you done a good job.
just because someone might be better does that mean you can't be confident in what you do - you know you can use PS, you have the understanding. so use it :P
:D

hmm......4 my reason becoz square itz too strict, and not suit with the girlz image
and I think u can do much better than that.........

hmm, let's see, 1 or 2 layer effects, a couple of gradient maps and some leveling did the job xD
i like how its cut out ive never done that with gimp, does ps have some sort of pre maid thing or is that done by hand ? or do you do it another way, i suppose it can be done many ways :em0132:

you mean the shape of the sig?
well, if so then I first used the shape tool, then I used a brush on a new layer ontop to make those flower thing you see in the corners xD then I positioned that one into 1 corner, duplicated the layer twice and also positioned those into a corner.
then I just deleted the parts of the shape layer that's under the flower thingies and cleaned it up
then I just saved it as png with a transparant background xD
hmm thats how i was thinking i would do it for the most part
good job

ok, im sorry but i tried it and i couldent get anything close to as good as youres it just kept changeing its darkness and lightness and lost it's color...can you help me more with a more detailed discription or just lead me on to a tut on doing this ^_^ ?

well, the problem is that it's not a routine thing you can do, each picture will need their own kind of gradient maps/layer effects/leveling to make it look good...

i like the outcome of your sig :)
wha~ Sugoi desu! I love that Moe tan sig you made! Kawaai! Desu~

It's not pretty at all...

but it has simplicity, that also has it's own charm ^^
just try new things out, see if you can do it and if it suits you, if both are yes then make a few sigs and go and try another new thing and keep doing that ^^

so, do you know any tuts on how to do it ? i want to learn how to clean up images from fuzzy to umm whats that word...well make it look like, how you make yours look
you just need to play with different filters, i mean duplicating a layer then gaussing bluring it by 5.0 then setting that layer to overlay will usually make it look nicer but not with every sig, for the most part it will but there are exceptions sometimes it makes a sig to bright or too dark and you need to adjust, its all about experimenting

I suggest doing that not to often...
I also did that alot in the past, but at 1 point it just doesn't look good anymore, and it gives off a blurry feeling (well, how do I say, a little unclear... )
but first thing you need to do is find a big screenshot, not those small 704x396 sizes anymore, but even bigger, the bigger the better
cuz if there's some unwanted stuff in it it's easier to fix...
then I suggest trying to improve color by duplicating the layer (1 or more times) and changing their layer settings to something like overlay or softlight (or any another if it looks good, you can also change the opacity of the layer if the has become to strong in color )
then just add a gradient map ontop of it and do the same as the duplicated layers, you can add more gradient maps if you want...
why are you talking to me :yummy:

that's right :em016: only trying it over and over will help you learn it :JFBQ00214070517A: even yesterday I wasn't able to use the layer effect/gradient maps on a picture very good, means I also still need to learn :em0132:
