Personally i hated that anime Miyu's character was in my opinion 2 dimensional and she never even attempted to save anyone.
Furthermore all insentiences where people died she simply blamed on fate.
well thats my 2 cents worth

I also liked. But I prefer the manga all the way. (And I liked vampire princess yui manga too).

I preferred the OVA that came out first to the TV series. The manga is gorgeous if you can find it.
Vampire Princess Yui is much cuter, though no less horrifying at times.

Well, I watch some of it. But it was never as good as I expected it to be. Miyu is just basically emotionless (having emotion when only she fond of someone) and the enemies are just like idiots. Her thinking clashed with my philosophy a lot.

I thought the anime series was interesting the first time I watched it but the downside would definitely be the repetitiveness of the episodes. I thought it was just way too much repeating, and by that I mean that way each episode had certain aspects that repeated (like clock-work). Or sort of like how Sailor moon had a repeatitive factor buy Miyu took it a step farther.
Some episodes however were very interesting and the art was pretty good!
