So... I've been here a day and have noticed something....
Despite the vast amount of people logged in... this forum seems to move rather slowly....
I blame society personally... but is my observation correct? Or did I just catch an off day?
No, You're correct.
Too many leechers...

The forums move slowly because like they said. Many people just leech and they do not post.
Also please remove some images from your signature. Thankyou.

My response, "Ugh"
Yeah, I consider myself new here as well and I'm trying to contribute as much quality uploads as I can but I'm starting to feel the effect of a lack of enthusiasm from ungrateful leachers.
There's gotta be a new strategy against this. Sharing a cake within the community is cool but not when a total stranger comes and grab a cake off of your plate and walk away without saying a simple "thanks for the cake". I could care less about the rep but at least show some sign of appreciation.
The files I uploaded has been downloaded in the 3 digit marking and yet only 1-3 people actually replied (big warm hug to those few).
There are other forums which implement the hide links until you post method but of course that may lead to spam of just smiling faces.
But then again, this is a widely popular site where people come to download things... primarily hentai related.

This is what happens on a forum that is famous for downloads. I personally joined to leach but I've grown tired of leaching, and since I cannot upload anything since most stuff I have is already uploaded or there isn't really a demand for what I have I try and give back by chatting it up and trying to inject some life into the slow moving non-hentai sections.

nite you could try to ask them to thank you... i know its a hollow thank you but still its better then nothing.

Or nite maybe no one likes your uploads. While that might seem like a mean comment from me it could actually be a fact. Besides how do you know that people are downloading what you are uploading anyway especially if they don't say thankyou.
Try going into the requests section and fufilling peoples requests. If you want the rep then remember to say "rep+ me please" at the end of each post.
You'll find that mostly what you upload that is what "YOU" like is well... in the end... what "YOU" like only. No one else kinda cares. It's like a genre of music, not everyone shares the same enthusiasm as you might for your favourite band.
Anyway =\ I'm just kinda trying to broaden your horizons.

Yah, Forum is a bit slow. Recently the advertisements are a little bit increased.
I am also kinda new here and every post is taking half a monitorscreen at least, so it consumes a lot and probabkly it gets slow by that.
I think (its more an ... I hope) you can speed up things if you set up / edit youre options to .... do not show signatures. Avatars you can suppres also, but they are handy to know who it is. Signatures are a bit more like masturbating in the open air.
The ones that put a signature in a spoiler do get my award. The ones that do not use one at all get gold medal.
Greetings,
Paul

Yeah it just doesn't feel right when you have to ask for something in return but thanks for the suggestion though.

I know, not everything I upload is on the hot list. It's just the thought of common courtesy or should I say the lack of common courtesy because we're anonymous.
To answer your question on how do I know how many people download the file, it's easy, the host sites usually tell you how many downloaded which file and some even gives you the ip address of the downloader and I wasn't lying when I said it was in the three digit mark.
But anyway my apology for sounding like a whiny baby, I'll stop.

Lol thats ok, your not whining. It's not like people haven't thanked me for the 1,000's of things I've uploaded...

Don't worry, You're still very far from mechgouki. xD

Probably just leechers? :<
So I guess I haven't missed much with the speed the forum's going at since everything's slow again.

It's a sad day for humanity when no one takes the time to say "Thank you".
Seriously, I'm active on another forum, and we had to deal with tons of leechers asking silly questions. Our mods put a password on the hentai section, and the numbers thinned out, plus more people started to post.

Well, it does move slowly, and there aren't a lot of new posts so it's hard to contribute a lot of new content.

That's not true. I don't care either. ;)

More or less I stopped receiving rep months and months ago. I've been on 4777 rep for ages.

Yeah usually sharing forums have a very low activity rate for the other sections that are not for sharing anything but words and ideas.
The Question
08-01-2008, 09:13 PM
Nope, people pop in and out of here all the time, I did for the first three days I joined, simply downloaded hentai and left, oh like none of you did it! It's just that a section like this is going to have little interaction, then again, maybe you did come at an off day, I mean I'm posting a storm tonight.
