Prince of Tennis (Tennis no Oujisama)

I'm currently watching Prince of Tennis. I need to watch episode 112. I still got a lotsa eps to watch. XD

What are your favourite characters? Which pairing do you like? Who do you think is the strongest tennis player? Y'know, stuff like that.

My faves are Ryoma, Eiji, and Fuji. Momo and Tezuka are almost there.

I guess .....Tezuka and Fuji for the pairing.

Ryoma, Fuji, and Tezuka are all strong....Ryoma still has time to learn more moves, techniques, and he hasn't been brought to his full potential (since I'm only on ep. 112). Fuji is a tennis prodigy and he hasn't really played REALLY seriously. And Tezuka is the captain of Seigaku.....So I don't know.......I can't pick which one.....

I think Tezuka is the strongest.(the last chapter released says that Kaidou has became invincible but still he is no match to Tezuka's Zone.)About pairing....I don't enjoy yaoi so leave it to the girls or some peculiar boys....My favourite char is Sadaharu(with his superb intelect and quick logical deductions....WATERFALL to all his fans).

uhmm.. let's see.. i watched the first episode out of curiosity, then the second episode to understand it better.... the latter episodes was just pure addiction.. lol. for some reason i just can't stop watching it. i even watched from the beginning (again) more than 5X (and counting). is this normal or im just the one doing this? lol. The series is random enough to hold some peoples interest. It also has enough action to hold others. The comedy aspect is okay. The thing that grabbed me is the fact that someone can receive wounds that would kill a normal person and they somehow stay alive, or die....already dead if you want to get technical. I'd watch the first three episodes and if you don't like it by then I'd stop.

If I have to say one character, I would say Atobe. That guy is SO hilarious and excessive. I wonder how far he will go for his girlfriend...

To be honest I am surprised that show got as far as episode 112. Tennis isn't exactly the hot subject in anime, and would be expected to wear out fast. Was there some interesting twis or something to make it more interesting?

Yeah!!! I love this anime. It is a total of about 173 episodes.
Eneryone is such bishounen, and the tennis playing is super cool too.
I am a fan of echizen ryouma and fuji syunsuke. haha...

Prince of Tennis starts out great and hilarious, but I think it loses its touch later on.
My favorite would be Samurai Nanjirou. He's so odd/funny, but so pro.
I like Fuji and Ryoma the most. I think all the characters have something uniquely funny about them.

Yeah, your are right, if you watch the anime, in episode 178, it shows Royma winning the US open. However if you watch the OVA series, you see Royma almost losing to a couple of players. Does this suggest that some other character can become pro or they are as good as pro. For example: Tezuka and Fuji, also Sanada and Yukimura.
My favorite is probably Royma or Fuji

i agree, i liked it to start off with but it started to lose it midway

i love prince of tennis. although i know all of the techniques were fake and stuff it was still pretty cool to watch the action. i love action in anime, whether it's clashing swords, chanting spells, or the extreme sports, i love them all. but i must say that the championship games have been rather slow. or super duper extremely snail slow motion.....*sigh*
