Second season of the anime adaptation of Ume Aoki’s manga.
Hidamari Sketch centers around a young girl named Yuno who finally is able to get accepted into Yamabuki High School, which she has longed for. To attend the school, Yuno moves and starts to live in a small apartment building named the Hidamari Apartments located near the school. Once there, she starts making new friends like her classmate Miyako and the second year students, Hiro and Sae. There is no real plot line to the story but rather the events of the characters’ everyday lives are shown as they attend the school together and get to know each other better. (Wikipedia)
Thoughts
Calawain: I loved the first season so there is no way I’m going to miss this one. Check this post (http://that.animeblogger.net/2007/12/14/looking-back-at-2007-hidamari-sketch/) out for why I love this show (as a side note, fie upon the new theme totally jacking up the formatting in that post). However, like Impz says below it’s really hard to blog this series, as much as I enjoy it. There just isn’t much to have a debate or discussion about aside from “wow Miyako is awesome,” “omg there goes Yoshinoya-sensei again looking sexy,” and “what kind of drugs is SHAFT on?”
Impz: The first season of Hidamari Sketch is a wonderful slice of life series that is not filled with laughs, but has nice references to almost everything about school life. The nice character exchange between the four characters has always been intriguing, so I will find it hard not to go back to it. Nonetheless, this is also a major challenge to blog. What can you really say about this?
Riex: Yeah, whatever. Fsck blockquotes too. I’ll go through the headache of fixing them one of these days…the more people bitch, the less I want to.
Shokkeru: I haven’t watched the original, but now that I know that the production company for the series is SHAFT, there’s a strong desire to actually watch it now. As with Slayers, if I happen to like this one, I’ll have to go back and watch the ones before. Damn, I guess Impz will have more fodder to call me a lolicon with this. -.-;
Briar: Slice of life + moe? Pass.
Crusader: Have fun Calawain.
