Anyone else here play any instruments? I've played guitar for 8 years, and piano for 2. If you play anything post some pics of what you got, or some samples of your work.

Here's my setup.

My 3 guitars, and Keyboard.

That's a nice guitar. Care to give a bit of background info on what you play? ( styles and what not )

I'll post up some pics if i can in a few hours, depending on when my roomie arrives.
But off the top of my head in Cali, I've got a B.C. Rich Warlock. B.C. Rich "Virgin" Platinum series and for amps I've got a couple of high watt Marshal's.

That guitar is Ibanez JS100. As far as my style its Rock, Jazz, Classic Rock, Metal........and sadly i have to learn some emo songs to fill in for a rhythm guitarist in my friends band.

My guitar influences are.
Neil Young
Kirk Hammet
Adam Jones
Bob Dylan
Eric Clapton

Rock on. Mine is blues, Jazz, Classical rock, Reggae, Metal and emo. Emo have great rhythms though, they're really well played out and it fit's really well, I should add if the person is decent. I tend to go B.O.Cish, They've got a bit of everything mixed in. G'luck on the band and if you can get some vids up that'd be kick ass.

My own influences are:
Blue Oyster Cult-Al Pitrelli
Jimi Hendrix.
Bob Dylan.
Eric Clapton.
Bob Marley.
And for some reason, Kurt Cobain.

I'm a guitar player my self, 3 years.
A all-rounded guitar suited for metal would probably be any superstrat type from Ibanez, Jackson, etc. That's more or less a common lead player's Axe. But I'll give a few specific examples,

I play an Explorer, which is well suited for lead and rhythms. Has lots of sustain, a nice shape and a great looking shape. James Hetfield from Metallica uses these types of guitar alot.

Flying V/King V/Rhoads, these guitars have that epic V shape, very metal with lots of sustain as well. A bit awkward to play with when sitting down.

Les Paul, like the other two, has alot of sustain. A bit on the heavy side if it's one of those 100$ Gibsons. Probably the most commonly used guitar in mainstream rock.

Superstrats, they look like normal strats, but they're more defined and solid in shape. Many superstrats come with 24 frets, and a whammy bar with double locking tuners. Most lead metal players use this type of guitar, ie. Kirk Hammett, Jeff Hanneman, Chris Amott, Adam D.

I sing, play piano and drums, i've been singing for approximately 10 years now. Vocals is my main "instrument" lol. i used to sing and play piano while i was at school, and did the same during college but i wrote my own stuff, and thats basically all i can play on piano - lol... though i know simple stuff like arpegios, and chord structures, i just cant read music =X

i have a KORG TR Workstation at home, and just a Stagg Starter kit like with drums - it's really crap it's in electric blue lol... i dont play the drums very often. and my singing i'm often loud enough for the whole street to hear - but i prefer using Shure SM58 Mics while on stage.

At College i studied performance studies and Music Tech, and did want to go on to Brighton Institute of Modern Music, but i havent followed that up yet, as i'm currently training to be an underwriter for insurance :P....

i've played the clarinet (not intensely) for 2-3 years which was mandatory for the school classes i took. it was fun to produce music

i've also tried the flute for a week or two, but i kinda gave up since it was hard (and school ended)

I wail out on the saxophone every now and again, mainly jazz scales and stuff like that...my nickname in highschool jazz band was "The Duke" :-p.

I'm also learning the guitar, and more and more I'm liking the sounds of classical guitar.

I play the Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, and Piano, the only one I suck at is Flute. I'm pretty decent at the Sax, played in New York, Yoshi's, Monterey Jazz, w/ Bob Mintzer, the saxophonists for the Stones, and some other guys. I haven't played Sax as much now tho. I'm mostly working on improving my voice and piano.

I'm lazy as hell though when it comes to music, I've basically never practiced after 5th grade band.
