[help] trouble finding a good anime

i am a person who is currently into unique, mystery solving type or humor anime. the anime that are unique to me is death note, Suzumiya Haruhi, code geass, ouran high school host club and welcome to NHK( n i watch gundam b/c i am a gundam fan). n i hate dragging series like naruto, bleach, d grayman.... i prefer a completed serie.

any suggestion there? :) thanks first. :megane:

Mystery solving or humour?

Darker than Black would be a perfect anime, but a lot of questions stay unanswered at the end. Still I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Ghost in the Shell series are also very good imo.

Kurenai has just finished airing. Also a good one that I enjoyed.

Soul Eater is one of the best of the current season, but it has more action and humour, and less mystery. Still it's highly recommended.

Mnemosyne consits of 6 OVAs. The 5th one was released recently. This is a very good mystery anime. I can't wait to watch ep5. ;)

You could try Kara no Kyoukai. This one is filled with mystery, but it's a little hard to understand, since it's also filled with philosophy. The first two movies are released.

Read some reviews of these and decide wheter You like them or not. :)

i watched darker than black. i like hei because of his cool action. the story's set up is good in the beginning, but the episodes overall are too random and do not connect. thanks for the advices.

humor ? try FLCL or furi kuri. reall random but it made me laugh my ass off.

try shonen onmyogi, yakitate japan ( for me is gud ^^) and detective conan.

Some good series
is the Dragonball series (Dragonball Z, Dragonball, and Dragonball GT)
also Trigun is great, action packed and on most occasions humorous

For humor: Excel Saga.
For horror/Mystery: Higurashi no naku koro ni. (I normaly don't like this kind of show, but Higurashi did it somehow. I love it...)

haven't seen it yet but look pretty funny and intresting to me

and try serial experiment lain,paranoia agent,Texhnolyze,
zettai shounen this is in my opinion a very good anime

wth at "better series" and then waiting for Rosario? Spring had plenty of good stuff: Soul Eater, Golgo 13, Macross F, Code Geass R2, and Kurenai are the first that come to mind. That said, there does seem to be a lot of good stuff coming out in the fall.

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni

It starts out as a really fun, joy, happiness-series, but..
Shortly, you will notice that something isn't quite right - and then, the anime
will, slow but steady, turn very dark and nightmareish.. and THEN the Mystery shows up! You'll really be wondering whats going on after 10 episodes.. Hehehe..

After watching all 26 episodes, you're really gonna have some thinking to do!

But wait it gets better.. There is also a season two (Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai), thats another 24 episodes! - Wich also will shed some light on many of the unsolved mysteries of the first season..

Oh yeah, and there NO other anime out there like this one.
The plot-line is indeed very unique!

Not sure which is good for mystery but i would recommend Nodame Cantabile for comedy. Season one is complete and season two is still rolling out

Neuro is a great anime in my opinion, has alot of 'dark' humor and a solid selection of interesting characters... If you can get over how the bad guys in each episode 'transform' (It's never explained in the anime other than very vaguely in the first episode) then you'll be in for an entertaining ride...

Also, try Ergo Proxy if you like dialog driven, instead of action driven, anime...

If you are into humorous and unique animes, I suggest Kyoran kazoku Nikki. If you like action, I suggest Black Lagoon
