Its great...i like RK alot. Too bad tat kenshin died in the end....y can't they juz make a good 1...like happy ending wif Kaoru n his son. ( I forgot wats his son name adi >.<)

I liked RK alot, especially the tv series, it was excellent. I watched the ova's aswell all of them are great, its just a shame Kenshin died though, that kinda ruined it for me, i dont like sad endings.

RK? Well, its only the best ever anime series you know.(can't say about manga..not read enough of it, but as many say the jinchu arc was the best, its ought to be good)
It wasn't the first one I saw and certainly wasn't the one that hooked me to anime. I saw it in Japanese first time around without subscripts, understanding nothing..lol, heck, I grasped the story in an entirely different manner by just seeing the animation..and say what, I think that version of the story was not much worse from the real one, if not better XD. But yeah, now that I have seen the entire anime series in English and pretty much seen enough of it and other anime series to be able to rate it unbiased, I'd say it pretty much sets the standard for anime. You have comedy, drama, seriousness, adventure, action, romance, love, hatred and pretty much everything going on through the entire series. And the fillers weren't half bad, just that they weren't really fillers, given that they were at the end of the series and instead of being used to pad in between the episodes, they were bundled together and shown for a long time without any real story, sad that the unwise use of fillers brought the anime to end but it still is the best.
As for the OVAs, the first one is pretty good but reflection wasn't really all that good. It had a slow moving theme, a presentation style that required everyone to have read the entire manga or seen the entire anime and had a sad ending. Apart from that, I have serious problems with that awkward art style used in the OVAs, everyone's like way too round and without half as much essence as in the anime.
And I didn't enjoy seeing one of my favorite character being turned into a lame guy who'd go against his principles and kill his *should never have been* wife(I mean Kaoru not Tomoe, he just transfers his fatal disease to her when he had promised to never be the reason of anyone's death again and to always protect Kaoru, even at the expense of his life) leave his family for say what, nothing at all and act all lame. (I think acting overly sweet and all mushy gushy is lame...). It still is something that's not unworthy of being seen but yeah..I hope it is labeled AU and a new movie with anime style arts and a better ending cum story is made, and I wish the jinchu would be animated as well, although that looks almost impossible now.

I used to watch the series on CN and had it on DVD for a while. After reading the manga, I decided the series was a bit too childish for me (Kenshin in a pink gi?) and sold my DVDs. I can't stand Seisouhen. As if Kenshin would really do any of the stuff he does in that OVA. Tsuiokuhen has to be one of the most beautiful pieces I've seen, animated or otherwise.

Amen to that. Personally Sano is my favorite character in the series. Also Kenshin's wife shouldn't have died in Trust and Betrayal, it was not need in my opinion.

Oh man. Rurouni Kenshin is one of the best anime's ever made. Top 5 in any anime listing. I watched and loved it all. Very emotional and great meaning behind it.

Eh, well nowadays Rurouni Kenshin can be found under the label Samurai X outside of Japan. Though Apsody243 , Samurai X is also the label for the Tsuioku Hen OVA outside Japan. Hope that helps. Oh and yes I agree with the general opinion, Rurouni Kenshin rocks! One of my favourite animes, even if it is a little old. If only the series could be digitally remastered and uncut like they're doing with Dragonball Z......

I consider RK better one of the series done, great quality graphic, good itineraries, fights sensational, good villains, and mainly fights no a lot of enrolativas style DBZ. And it possesses one of the more captivating main characters of the you encourage.

It was a good one. Some people say the pre-installment OVA is better. But I don't think so. I like TV series better, and think the OVA too serious and bloody.

I just love this anime and its manga. But watching the anime after the manga its not to good an idea, since the anime will sometimes have lengthy talk, it will be quite dull for fans that had already read the manga.
But overall, its a good anime. Just love Kenshin Himura

ive seen both the anime and read the manga, but i would have to say that i prefer the storyline of the manga much better than the anime (aka. the story about tomoe)
last movie (not sure if its called reflection...the one where he dies) wasnt so great to me. i didnt like that at all but was glad to know that he's kid grows up to be a swordsman like kenshin. anime doesnt show he has a kid at the end...manga does!

I liked the anime eps adapted from the manga, but i found the filler eps to be far inferior. Weak plots and too many liberties taken with the characters' personalities, abilities, etc. Overall the first 2 anime story arcs were very well done. The series only went downhill when they stopped following the manga storyline.

I can understand why most fans would dislike the latter, since it has a much darker, serious theme and varies from the manga on many plot points. Apparently the manga-ka didn't approve either. But for an original production, the plot was easily above-average and it gave a measure of closure to the series, so I don't have much complaints.

Ohhh I love it! This is like one of the main anime that got me into anime! ^^ I just wish they didnt stop showing it on cartoon network before the end :( I wish I knew how it ended. I think I will download it :D lots of episodes though x.x
