Apple Iphone $99 at end of year

I heard this on MSNBC this morning and thought I would share:

It is reputable speculation that the good people at Apple are going to release a new version of the Iphone which will be available on other carriers besides AT&T toward the end of the year that will retail for around $99.00 US. It will not have the touch screen but will have the rollerball like the ipod. This gets them around the 5 year deal with AT&T.

Hopefully without the defects that the original has. I don't like idea of everything being deleted in a situation where I fail to recharge my phone. Hopefully they release one for MetroPCS carriers.
