well I think all already know what is final fantasy VII...........and there's a demo about FF VII in ps3
some old news say that FF VII won't be remaked in ps3, and the demo is juz advertisement.........but based on the games magz news that I read recently......
FF VII will be remaked in PS3!!??

it would seem to be a project for a later time since they have all hands on FF13 right now. Delaying the game means that they had some serious issues including graphics and gameplay. They don't want to rush the game and have it end up being crappy.
+Keeping the quality of the gameplay as previewed in their gameplay trailer really pushes everyone's standards up so they gotta live to that
So for now, its safe to say... no FF7 for a while

Squeenix seems to constantly deny this rumour - BUT I must remind you even though it is ONLY a rumour right now... the BIGGEST Final Fantasy Anniversary announcement has yet to be made - S-E said this themselves... the announcement will be later on this year... so what could it be? FFVII remake maybe?

I doubt they would remake FF 12 just for PS3 graphics. They should just continue with Final Fantasy vs. Thirteen

damn those bastards they tricked me playing the first version of FF7 (you know that rumor that cloud could get laid with tifa if you ignored that biatch aeris and only talked to tifa) well guess what they lied damn them
but i am waiting for the remake anyway :XD:

The FFVII video was just a tech demo. I'm not a huge fan of the game, but it would be nice to play it through again, with extras :P
However, I have a feeling it will not be for the PS3, if it's even remade. The PS3 is losing a ton of money for Sony... it's being utterly destroyed by the Wii and Xbox 360 in sales numbers. Remember, FFXIII used to be PS3 only, until Squeenix saw the horrible sales, and decided to make it multi-platform.
A good majority of Squeenix's games this year are also DS/Wii titles... very few are on any Playstation platform... and a majority of the ones that are, are on the PSP.
But who knows, an FFVII remake for the PS3 might boost it's sales... I kind of doubt it would be a PS3 exclusive though. It just wouldn't have the sales that Squeenix would want.

Honestly, I hope it's not gonna be remade. Don't get me wrong, I loved FF7 to pieces! (even though they all looked like miniature Popeyes), but frankly, ENOUGH WITH THE REMAKES! From what I understand, most of the remakes they've been doing are simply eye candy with a few extra monsters or summons added (oh and FMVs, you can never forget the FMVs). They're good for a few views but after that... if you've already got the game...
I admit, in the off chance this does get remade, I'd at least give it a rent (though I'd hope they'd also revamp the story. Would be worth the 50+ bucks IMO)

I wouldn't give a play through unless it had a complete graphical overhaul, and a significant amount of new content. It just isn't worth the money.

To my knowledge, not yet. Many people were saying that, but many more are simply not willing to drop 600$ on a gaming system. I'm sure we'll see the sales rise when those come out, but it might not be enough to make Squeenix want to remake it at a PS3 game, or at least, not an exclusive.
As for making the ENTIRE XIII set being multi-platform, I don't really know. Maybe they're trying to help Sony out :P?

FFVII was merely a technological demo, meant to show the power of the PS3. They did the same thing with PS2, remaking several FFVIII scenes to display the graphical capability.
There were tons of rumors about FFVIII being remade back then too, but it never happened, because that was never the purpose.
Don't expect a remake of FFVII.

FFVII is the best FF ever and if they screw it up in anyway by remaking it for PS3 im gonna kill somebody... i loved the minigames in the FFVII for PS :D and if they dont put them in then it's not worth playing... the graphics look promising but that's all i've seen so far from the remake :D

There is no FFVII remake. It's just a tech demo showing off the abilities of the PS3. They did the samething on the PS2.

This is what I've heard so far. Sony will release it to celebrate their 10th year anniversary. It will also be released onto the PS3 network to download. I've heard something about it adding more stuff to it as well, and maybe Aeris (it's that how you spell the name?) may live. I've been going with this rumor for over 3 years.

Well there is a FF7 Prequal which goes over the one guy that looks like Cloud *but black hair* but that's for PSP and the rom is up in the PSP section in Japanese version.
