well, have been hanging around the graphics section here for some time, also posting here and there and participating in the contest, so thought I should have atleast 1 topic with some of stuff up for rating

so yea, here I am xD

so, let's see...

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

a Miko sig. Once saw a signature made with this render, and wanted to try and make a signature of it myself aswell.
I spend some time on this one, added alot of stuff, kinda crowded xD
but I'm pretty happy with the end result, doesn't look to bad to me

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

a Rozen Maiden sig. Always wanted to make a sig of Rozen Maiden, but never really found a render I wanted to use.
so now I did xD
the background was made by duplicating the render and covering the whole sig with it, merge them together, add some effects and voila, you got a nice background xD
then in goes the render, blend it a little, add some background brushes, few more effects, text on it and done

and you may notice on the bottom this brush >>>>>>>, I kinda got addicted to that one so you'll see it more in the upcoming sigs xD

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

kinda the same way made as the Rozen Maiden one, only you can see the render background better here because of the brighter colors, but still looks nice to me...

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

I was reading the manga Variante when I saw a picture I really wanted to make a sig of, but it was colorless, thought it'd be no problem, but forgot I s*ck at stuff like coloring/vectoring :sob:

so I took the cover page and tried making a sig out of that, had to do some editing since where the hand is now was actually nothing, so I put the hand there

add some gradient maps, some blood brushes, and I liked the way how the text came out, first time for me doing it like this

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

you've probably seen a bunch of these kind of sigs, dark background but in the middle where the render is it's light, brushes around the render and a light brush at the top above the render

well, I wanted to try making a sig like that, never really did that alot

but I had to do some coloring on the render, was organge in there, and that doesn't look really good in an overall green sig xD

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

with this one I've mixed feelings

I made a sig like this before [Click] ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) which I really like. both pics come from music albums of Sola.

so when I got the second music album and saw another picture like that I thought I could make another cool sig, but ofcourse it never works that way

but in the end the result still doesn't look to bad to me...

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

current sig that I'm using.

it's basically made very easy. I took a picture from the Art Book of Girls Bravo, rotated and resized it, threw on some gradient maps, added some vector brushes and text and done, but I still really like this one even thought the work on it was very little...

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

after the Girls Bravo sig I tried making another one like it. so I took a picture from the Calendar pack of Tenjou Tenge and tried again. and although the end result is different, I still like it, probably since I never really get sigs with this kind of outcome.

probably looks ugly to other people, but I still really like it

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

a kon siggie, yea, I was kinda bored xD

so just picked out a random render and there came Kon xD
the background you see here (subway) comes from cg backgrounds, I collect those since they can always be usefull :cowboy:

I also applied a junkyard cg background on top of the subway one and blended it in, had a nice effect actually, then I put the render on top of it, gave it some more color in it, added some gradient maps, couple of brushes

also tried adding some texts, but didn't really had an idea for it so I just left it out and done xD

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

you may now probably think "WTF?! what's up with this ugly sig" well, I kinda couldn't help myself xD after watching all seasons of Galaxy Angel I just had to make a sig out of it, so yea, forced myself and this came out xD, also made 2 more like it xD here they are [Click] ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), [Click] ([Only registered and activated users can see links])

the background are all the same, but edited with each sig. the background is made of another cg background, with another one blended in.

then on goes the render, then 2 or 3 gradient maps, a few brushes, text on and some effects around it and done

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

I made this one last night.
the render was kind of hard to place, so I just rotated it, and I know how I've the render now looks pretty bad since it takes up to much space, but oohwell I was kind of bored anyway so xD

as for the background I just another cg background, added some effects on it and done. after that a couple of gradient maps, a couple of new pen tool techniques I learned xD, a light source and done

and I left out the text in here since there was just to little space left to make it look good...

let me just say that most of these sigs were made after midnight xD

WOw! They're indeed all beautiful. You are a talent! I really like them. Especially the second one and the one with the teddy are my favorites. But I think you should add a bit more detail, it will make them look even greater. I like the vectoring stuff you did, it looks cool. I'm sure it took you a lot of time to do these, but keep up! They are awesome! I love your backgrounds.

aah, details, one of my biggest enemies!!

reason why I also s*ck at coloring/vectoring, the quality of those pictures depend on the details of the lining and the extra details you add afterwards

but still I try to learn it, but if you've never been good at details it's kinda impossible to learn xD

but usually I'd spend around 5 to 10 minutes on a sig, but most of these sigs took more then that, probably maximum time was around 25 minutes...

and thanks for the reply ^^ although people often say my work looks good, I'm still not always to happy about my work, but that's only because I look at the work of people even better then me and get jealous xD

very nice works. simple always looks good. you gotta work on your depth and maybe lighting. your last one, it looks like you just forgot the lighting and added it last second.

with the last one I kind of had a problem, since the render wasn't to good of quality, so I couldn't make it to light or else you'd notice the quality of the render...

and I never really bothered to do lighting, but lately I've been trying to work on it...

Very nice. They are not so convoluted that you need to stare at them and figure them out. Do you cut the renders out yourself or just get renders from the interwebs?

I used to render myself, but then I kinda got obsessed with ecchi renders and so I wasn't really able to make new kinds of sigs :em0129: and after that I got bored with rendering xD now got about 350 renders cut by myself

but now I often use downloaded renders, much quicker and much more variety, atm I have over 1700 downloaded renders :41:

but glad that everyone likes the sigs, for a minute I thought I might've been scr*wed :hot:

your sigs are pretty small so its not really a problem but some of your render needs more blending in. :p

has been like 3 months ago when I started to do 400x100, before that I almost always used 450x150.

but now I've switched to 400x100 I kinda like it better, smaller size so less space to fill up :XD:

but I always try to blend in my renders xD although it may not look so, cuz I only do it a little to not make it to much noticeable that it takes up like 25% of the sig xD

Oh i do understand well... XD I always have the same feeling when I know people that are looot better than me and have such georgeous art. But I think that's good so, so they can help you improve. =] I hate when people come and say: wooow beautiful, how can you draw that good? and you yourself know better: there are loots of things to work out! That's why I try to give good critism to help people improve! =] Anyway, I just love your signatures! They are really cool.

well, with most of them I made them myself, but for example the current signature I'm using (the girls bravo one) I used the picture as it was (so both background and render) and just edited it like that with some gradient maps and vector brushes along with some text... hope this helps ^^

ooh and btw, I also uploaded them xD

what I really want to learn is how to do vectoring, and not simple vectoring but damn good vectoring. if you read the Mahou Sensei Negima manga from AQS you can always find vector pictures as extras in the chapters, but there's 1 guy who can do that kind of vectoring that it makes me so damn jealous and shows how far I still need to go :defeat: here are some of those pictures ( 1 ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), 2 ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), 3 ([Only registered and activated users can see links]), 4 ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) )

looky, I made a new avatar from the anime Hayate no Gotoku! from the new ED

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

you may say "WTF?! It's frikkin choppy in animation!!" but then that means you haven't seen the new ED yet or haven't seen it well enough xD

i like the avatar ^.^

and those are some freaking amazing vectoring. i still cant even do simple ones XD

Sensei-kun

lol, I was forced to do the vectoring, wasn't planning on doing it first

but there was some annoying text, and it was in a way that I wasn't able to fix the picture, so had to find a way to solve that problem, luckily the solution had a good-looking outcome ^^
