on your sig, work on your light source, depth, and on ur avatar, add some cool border or some kind of color texture.

agreed with crimson also I would like to add that you should work on the blending in your sigs

read some tuts they'll help with all that shit and eventually you'll get your own techniqe and style -_

you should use less brushes (since your just a beginner) and also try to fit the color of background with your render or the other way around XD

you could also try and make different kind of backgrounds, a while back I used the render itself alot as the background.

would duplicate it like 8 times, fill the whole background with it, merge them and do some "Wave" effect and go on from there, but lately I've been using alot of normal pictures as background and continue from there using the smudge tool...
