I saw this too before they went live and all... Even "advertised" on Facebook / Google+ / etc...
But I thought I'd give it some time to check the reactions and all ...

I can't understand why so many fans got pissed off with the decision.
I mean it does sound like a good "line-up" to me... But it did cause a lot of "commotion", specially among the "fandom".

I think they're pissed off because it isn't the same anime they remember from toonami. give it some time and good ratings and they might be able to acquire more anime for the line-up.

But in my opnion that's just plain dumb. I mean as I commented on this guy's vid: If they brought back ToonAmi and/or Locomotion( which was even better) ... We would be celebrating with fireworks, not bashing it... Specially with fallacious and dumb arguments. We're talking about a block that airs on saturdays at night, seriously... Who's home Saturday night ? I don't know anyone (except for my mom and people that work ) which stay home on a saturday night. I rarely stay home, and usually pretty much because I'm tired from something I did the day before (aka another party lol ).

I wouldnt sacrifice an Anime THemed Party that we usually have here ( Tokyo Stream / HeadShot Party/ Jigoku Style Party ) to stay at home watching Cowboy Bebop, DM Wonderland, etc... Which are titles that I already have watched. But the thing is, there are people out there that do, and they are willing to give it another shot and (also as this guy mentioned) build it all the way up again to a good line-up. A better line-up that is, because the current is pretty good. Hell... I changed my whole "idea" of anime because of a block from Locomotion which used to air on friday nights (when I was a kid). I remember that I used to stay up all night just to watch those "new(to me) titles", and it was during those awesome fridays that I was introduced to Ninja Scroll / Ninja Ressurection ( the OVA ) , Pia Carrot, Jin Roh, Akira, Burn Up Warrior, Virgin's Fleet... etc..etc...
This is another "chance" to show that anime could also target "adults", not only acid comedy cartoons such as Robot Chicken / Family Guy... Nothing agaisnt them, love those shows... Just saying.

I don't know what actually happens (pop-culture wise that is ) in europe and North america but all that stuff makes it look like they're not an united "fandom". As a matter of fact, the other way around. Instead of supporting a culture which is already looked down by, let's say, "regular people"... No... they just bash themselves. It's... I don't even know what to say, I Just can't understand it.
