So I'm vaguely aware that there's some things you can do with AGTH to get some engrish out of Japanese visual novels, but just how engrishy is the translation you get? It would be more trouble for me than most to set AGTH up (Since I'm using a Mac running a Virtual Machine Windows) but there are some Eroges I want to play that will most likely never get translated.
It would help if anyone who regularly uses translation programs takes a screenshot or gives some sample dialogue to show me how the translations are. If it's too incomprehensible, I'd probably have a easier time just learning the Japanese language.

Use the Text Hooker to get alternative translation from online translation services. Run your agth, then your translation aggregator. I learned it from reading the AGTH guide at Hong Fire. Anyway, if the translation doesnt look right I refer to the Romaji (Mecab) and read it aloud. But if the eroge is full of hard word,s I take out a japanese dictionary and look up for the word using the romaji shown in mecab.:ml43:\
I take a notepad and individually translate a word then piece them all up. It takes time (lol) but its really better if you learn Japanese instead.
There's no perfect translating software for me.
