Where can I get a list of the latest Anime this season and has a decent DB/description if-possible?

Well, most known sites are MyAnimeList and AniDB.com.
I think you can search there for anime this season has. Anime-planet might also be a place to check out.
At least, that is where we get most information after seasons have aired.

AnimeNewsNetwork would be another place to check
they even do small reviews of the first few episodes of each season
