I love this series.
It's a story of a 10 year old boy, Negi Springfield, who happens to be a mage, and what happens when he is forced to travel to Japan for the test to blend into the normal world.

The twist : He has to teach an all-girl class of 31 while keeping his identity a secret. And they're all older than him.

Once he reaches Mahora Academy, the massive campus where he'll be teaching, things start to wrong...

Mahou Sensei Negima is a lot better in my opinion. This one attempts to be too serious..

Well, yeah, the manga is great because it's the original after all.

By the way, Negima!? just got licenced by Funimation, I wonder how that'll turn out.

If I'm to put this in the manga section, should I put it in Shonen then?

Oho, Negima, one of Akamatsu great work, latest chapter i read was 180 and that's where fun begin, Anya come to Japan, more girls for Negi-sensei.

Funimation did an alright job on dubbing the first series but I think they could of done it better. As for the manga I've seen bits and pieces of it and it looks great =3 So I agree the manga is better then the anime *sometimes*

I love the series, though Funimation other than Nodoka's voice, IMO none of they actually fit thier personalities.

I actually have met the person how doesn't Nodoka's english voice, and I have her autograph.

but this sereis the manga is way better, it currently has 14 english volumes released (last I checked anyway) and currently is translated up to chapter 184.

the only part about the orginal anime series I disliked other than the crappy graphics is the rushed ending that came out of nowhere.

Negima!? is great, it has a much improved story line and got a huge graphical face lift so to speak. though I don't much care for the neo pactio formate though

I won't hold my breath for that one, history pretty much guaranties us that, that series is gonna suck.

and the most important thing about how to learn spiritual thing in the anime, is not revealed.

I've seen this anime but i have a question...

Is there 2 versions of the same anime??? Because i found 2 Negimes totaly diferents...

Well i liked the anime.. its funny and its fantasy.. but i think the story could be a bit better

Yeah, there's 2 anime. There's also a live-action drama coming out

The first Negima is based off the manga, while the second has a alternate storyline

correction, negi is only 9 at the start of the series.

manga volume 1 I believe that is stated it

One thing.. how come a guy with 9 years get girls with 12 (i think the are about this age) and is a sensei.. kinda off.. too young...

I though he was 12 or so.. only a bit short

they say there's 26 ep but only 22 episode titles...and when u click it, theres only 19 titles, other 3 r blank... wtf... o.o wut happened? >.>

the remake is set up for a second season, the orginal was a hurry up ending which sucked.

the manga is by far better than the both series.

the disappointing part of the remake for me was the fact that Nodoka never confessed to negi.

Grrr I'm watching it from TV Links and I just got halfway or so through ep 24 and it freezes up... guess I'll keep trying.

I don't know which version I'm watching... and I've only seen a teaser ep of the manga, the one with the hacker girl idol... so I can't really say if the series is good or not based on the others, but I like it so far. Ep 24 was a bit of a shocker though... what's the alternate version?? I'd like to see the difference.

Just one thing to say about this series... AWESOME.

I love most of the girls design and personality, the battles are cool and the spells great (the anime version though, is not as good as the manga IMS)

The only thing is that I think negi should be a little older (since the girls look like having a shota complex)

This anime is funny and has an interesting story line. But I prefer the manga since the anime then to have less echi scene. :em0129:

well the first serie actually follow part of the storyline in the manga, the second 1 is more of a comedy. There is a manga for the 2nd serie but the storyline is so much different compare to the 2nd serie of the anime
