Decided to draw Moka from the series Rosaro+Vampire, I found a image online and downloaded it to my PSP and was able to zoom in which might be a good idea, just to let u guys know this is my first attempt to draw anime and i didnt trace or copy. I started with the eyes then did the hair that covered the face. Apparently my bro thinks its good but it looks nothing like Moka. Didnt do the shadowing right cause its in black and white but any advice/tips on this picture would be cool. Took me 2 hours but i enjoyed it!

the only advice i can give you is to work on the shading where the hair that goes over the forehead like in the original.

You should also not preoccuparsi about the shading on the hair itself, that is mostly focused color wise.

Oh, don't know if it matters but...you should also use printer paper instead of line just because of the material on line paper isn't as great.

well the PSP was able to let me zoom in, so i started with the eye's then the bangs over the eyes. For me i could visualy place everything from their but the proof is right their how i some how made the face straight. To answer your question i held the PSP in my left hand ontop of the paper so i could look back and forth.

One thing that bothered me a little was the eyes positions. But i know how hard it is to keep them in the perfect position. You did a pretty good job. All you have too look for next time is the shading and nose/mouth/eyes position. =)

now that u mention it i never went into too much detail with shading of nose and mouth haha, but thx im currently trying to make Kanade from Angel Beats (Color)
