HELP ME...
i've been craving that MMO fix... you know the one you get when u quit MMO's for awhile and all of a sudden u have this urge to grind mindlessly for 24/7??

Is it me, or is every MMO out there the same when it boils down to the foundation of the game - Grind, grind, grind.

i've been looking for an MMO for a LONGGG time that is different in a GOOD WAY. Never have i ever found this holy game T.T

Just wondering... is anyone else stuck in this situation??

the only redeeming aspect of mmo games seems to be socializing.
in regard to gameplay, all I saw were just pointless.
this is a defining term for any mmo: pointless.
there are better ways to socialize.

No shit, MMO's are over for me. Ever since constant disappointments in runescape and the shitty admins in Nostale.

I'm done with MMOs until GW2 or a KotOR MMO is released. ^^

When I get in the mood, I play CoH/CoV. But I usually only play for a coupla months at a time. I think I've played for a year, total.

I remember a conversation my ex and I had with a game developer for a well-regarded MMO a coupla years ago. He said, "We LOVE people who pay month-to-month, because we know we have the most addictive form of entertainment in the world, period. Paying month-to-month is like saying, 'I can quit whenever I like!' and we're like, 'Bet you three dollars a month you can't'."

And working with a buttload of WoW addicts (he didn't work THERE, mind you) I have to say that he was totally right.

Played WoW with a 10 day trial. I didn't feel the need to subscribe.

LOL... i've been there too man >.< lol... funny but true...

and yeah i played wow up to lvl 16 and decided to stop... It's a hit or miss with that game. People either really get addicted and love it or they totally hate it.

I've never been a fan of WoW and i've never understood what's so good about it. I guess the style of graphics never appealed to me and just the way the game works.

ohhh... and for sure too many L33T pricks in that MMO... i'm more of a casual gamer... i don't wanna play a game where I have to dedicate 30 hrs in a day just to reach some decent level and be able to hold up in PvP

After a few thousand hours of it, I've finally realised that playing MMOs was quite a waste of time. I can't bring myself to go back playing anymore.

*drops jaw @ the number 3254*

u've spent 135 total days worth of WoW time in ur life...
compared to a lot of other people I think that's not so bad once u do the math ;p
3xxx just sounded a lot, but i guess it isn't relative to other gamers

Actually, I've played over 4000 hours, since in the first year that I played WoW, I had an absolutely crappy computer that forced me to turn everything else off while playing WoW.

I've had an account on WoW since last March, but I've only been able to play for a grand total of 35 days in game. I have a level 70 druid which is fun to play, but I'm not obsessive about it. I just get on every now and then and play for a couple hours and call it a night.

As far as MMOs in general are concerned...I'll just quote my friend:
"World of Warcraft is a great way to save money. You end up not playing any other games, you won't go out to frivolously spend money, you don't end up paying for a girlfriend, and once the next MMO comes out, you just drop WoW and subscribe to the new one."

Which is sad, because I still have an extensive amount of PS2/PS1/GC/Wii/DS/PSP/NES/SNES/GBA/PC games that I've never beaten. :nonono:

Not to mention my slowly dying anime addiction, lol.

.......I used to be hardcore in world of warcraft and I gotta admit that I am just not into MMO's anymore. They seem to lack the substance and storyline that made me get into video games all hardcore....It could be because I'm using things like FF7 as a benchmark for any kind of fantasy-ish game....but I just havent really seen anything all that appealing in the MMO world anymore...........I personally blame Call of Duty 4......but thats just me

Never saw the appeal of MMOs. I think there are better ways to pass the time, without having to subscribe to anything. I do enjoy playing with my friends, but over a LAN connection, it's better, you get to see you friends reactions when they die i a vey painful/humiliating way

since then, i've had two relapses into the game because of my friends but right now, i've been clean for about four months

LoL, bacon, I bet you'll go back in within 6 months time...
There is ALWAYS relapse /w MMOS haha...

/Agree =p
Also, cause u're not exercising, ur metabolism slows down more, and u eat less therefore spend less on food and going out...

there's a downside to that tho ;p. You get fat (even if you don't change weight your body fat % goes up and ur muscle % goes down). Your sleeping patterns get messed up (cuz of all the damn guild parties/meetings).
So it's health v.s. Money.... hehe wonder which one is more important??
I say if you got good health and stay active, it's alrite to play long hours... but if you're in poor condition, get in shape! =)
