View Full Version : Emotional Eaters Anonymous

Hi, there! Do you eat when you are bored, or upset, or happy? Does your mood affect/control your eating habits? Then this club is for you!
This is a place for all emotional eaters on Niho to gather and talk about everything related to emotional eating; what moods make you eat, what you eat, ask and share tips and advices on how to not let your emotions control your eating (for those who feel that it's a problem), etc. Or to talk about nothing at all, it doesn't have to be related to emotional eating. This club is surely just for fun, more than anything else, it doesn't have to be serious if you don't want it to! (If that makes any sense, at all, haha.)
1.You must be a registered memember.
2.You must be/identify as an emotional eater. (Lol.)
3.You must be kind to other members.
4.To join the group, feel free to reply in the club thread as well, but it would be more convenient if you sent me a VM or PM, as it's easy to miss or over-look some posts.
5.Everyone are more than welcomed and free to post here, regardless of being official members or not.

Weee, my first members! Welcome, you are both added to the members' list. :) I'm actually currently going through a rough time, especially after the recent break-up with my boyfriend, and I'm constantly craving sweet food. (I don't have an appetite for "normal" food when I'm upset, actually, just sweet and sugary stuff, lol.) And when I briefly talked about it in another club, I got this idea and thought "Why the heck not?", since we can have clubs for pretty much anything, anyway, haha.
In any case, thank you both for joining, and welcome again. :)

Awesome :] thanks for having me here.
I'm sorry to hear, or rather, read that :/
Me too. I have a sweet-tooth :3

Well, it's my fault, anyway. It's not easy to be in love with and much less together with a person like me. I've been heavily depressed for years and counting, and it was too difficult for him to handle. Which I don't really blame him for. But well, this (heartbreak) too shall pass. *nods*
Hehe, good to see I'm not alone. I've been hunting high and low through the house not too long ago, trying to find something sweet to eat, but no luck. *sigh* I guess that's for the best anyway, haha. ^^"

Update: I've created two club banners. They are not anything special, but feel free to use them if you want to. :)

I want to join too :please2: I eat all the time because i'm house bound most of the week. I'm currently unemployed and have no money so i'm constantly bored n stuff and i always like to eat snacks no matter what time it is, day or night. Its getting to be a problem to constantly eat (most of the time its large portions too) as i'm now 11 stone 5lbs = doctors say that i'm 3 stone over weight :sob:

Welcome to the club, sweetheart!
I'm sorry to hear that, although I guess all of us here can sadly relate. I still haven't found a good method to stop emotionally eating, but have you ever tried finding healthier snacks to eat? Popcorn, for an instant, is not that unhealthy, at least if you pop it yourself (not the store-bought microwave bags). Also, try to find some fruit or something that you really like, because then it won't be difficult to pick fruit over snacks! I personally like to munch sliced water melons, strawberries and grapes. And whenever you crave chocolate, eat dark chocolate. It's also quite possible to bake wholegrain cookies and cupcakes etc., if you like that, which are much better alternatives than white wheat products.
I know you didn't ask for advice or anything, but I just felt the need to mention it, because it has really helped me.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!
I do like fruit such as peaches, grapes, apples, small oranges, small bananas ect but if there was something else to eat in the way of snacks, I'd eat them instead lol And by the time i get to the fruit, theye gone all soft and spoiled from being in the fridge too long XD I hate eating wholewheat, it tastes like dust or something but strangely i do like eating wheatabixs for breakfast lol

@Katie24: Oh, I see. I actually didn't like wholegrain products before, but I grew to like it. But everybody has different tastes of course. Wheatabix is delicious. *~*
@~ KORINA HIKARI ~: Of course you can join, sweetheart! Welcome to the club. :) And I can relate to you so much, sweety. As I mentioned to Katie, it's all about finding healthier snacks to eat instead of fatty and sweet food! Because I have honestly given up on trying to stop emotionally eating, haha. That's all the advice I can give, really. But as I said, I can sooo relate. *hugs*
