A recent television program listing in Japan reports that the Bleach television anime series will end its run in TV Tokyo's 6:00 p.m. Tuesday timeslot on March 27. When a Twitter follower of Bleach animation director Hiroki Takagi sent him an image of the listings, Takagi responded by saying, "So quick. I was going to paste it… /(^o^)\"
Shueisha, the publisher of Tite Kubo's original manga, had already announced that the weekly Naruto SD: Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden anime will premiere on TV Tokyo on Tuesday, April 3 at 6:00 p.m
What do you guys think about this ?
ThePhenom34 02-24-2012, 09:43 AM well i am sad...i love bleach despite all the critics...and it's much more popular outside Japan...however,Japan makes the rules here and Bleach was falling in ratings so it is no surprise here.However the manga is also low on sellings i just hope Kubo ends it before it is cancelled...it would be a shame not to finish this great series
Norza 02-24-2012, 10:04 AM Well, that author is working on the final arc so there will probably be a lot of fillers given how close the anime caught up. And ratings + viewership generally go down.
I think they are going to wait for a Bleach craze to rev up when people start missing it a lot and then make the last arc into anime.
I think it's an overall smart move to keep the ratings generally higher from an economical standpoint, but I'm positive they will have to do the final arc too.
zebeianhero 02-24-2012, 12:46 PM nothing at all said about cancelling just that it's being moved out of the prime time slot; odds're it'll be moved to a different time slot based on it's current ratings....
happens with shows that aren't popular, but aren't bad enough to be cancelled pretty frequently...
spytheremom 02-28-2012, 02:53 PM i dont want to offend bleach fanatics... but i think the story of bleach is really kinda boring after the battle with aizen... bleach better ended on after aizen was defeated.... just like how death note was ruined by trying to make the story longer...

Katie24 03-17-2012, 06:42 AM :nonono: I hate this is happening! Stupid japenese kids, what the heck do they know that they are missing out on a great series? Arent they at least a bit curious as to know what will happen to Ichigo and the others? In some respects, i agree that he should of ended it with Aizen but I think everyone got bored of him doing the same things over and over again i.e Ichigo rushing in to save someone whilst trying to master a new technique. I know Tite Kubo kept saying that he didnt want to put any relationship dynamic into the mix but perhaps he should of done now; Hope he does with this final arc! :please2:

tvesrb 03-30-2012, 01:49 AM I'm cool with this. after the SS Arc it was kinda hit n' miss for me. there were exciting moments here and there, but it wasn't consistent. the Bount Arc literally put me to sleep a lot of times. the Hueco Mundo Arc however had a lot of great moments. not the best series, but it'll always have a place in my heart. I'd give it a 7-7.5/10
P.S. we still have the manga folks :\

the manga is a few chapters into the last arc. Kubo says it'll be longer than the arrancar arc and that it'll answer some questions that have yet to be answered.
