haha my favourite is Ghost in the shell: stand alone complex's Tochikoma!funny and cute.

And to me ghost in the shell is one of the best anime out there, gets you thinking what makes one human? a soul? having a body? and the storyline is just amazing

hmm... the title is "most lovable mecha/robot" right? Is it have to be cute robot? Coz lovely and kawaii robot arent many out there, i think... As far as i can recall, i personally think that Haro in Gundam SEED series is pretty cute and somehow "portable" ^_^'
Haro in Gundam OO is err.... how do you say, alittle too "big"? Plus, in Gundam SEED, the Haro is a present by Athrun to his ex-girlfriend, Lacus Clyne, so i think it's lovely :P

I'd have to go with Chii as well. Can't get much cuter. Although I did keep worrying that her programming would bug one day and she would wipe out a city full of people.

Does MoMo form Xenosaga count? She's more of a bioroid I thought.

And even though It's not really Anime, Gir from Invader Zim always brings a smile to my face.

i still prefer my favorite mecha from the gundam franchise the wingzero it still powerful along heero yuy and the zero system and is the only one to take down a colony with one no matter what for power
for versatile i would say the ZGMF X-20A strike freedom it can respond to several situation in it's case for close combat i would say gundam exia from 00 gundam it's own in close combat no matter but it also depends on the pilot
