I've recently taking interest in importing a game for the 360 called Dream Club. I researched it to see if the game was region locked, I got mixed answers some people said it is and some people said it isn't. I don't really fancy just buying it on the hope that the game is region free, despite it being dirt cheap.

So has anyone tried this game, and is it region free?

All xbox 360 games have one of I believe 3 regions, Region 1 is NTSC-U (North America) PAL (Europe) And NTSC-J (Asia) so you either need to either purchase an NTSC-J console online (VERY expensive) or hack your xbox so it's region free, but I'm not sure how much detail I can go into here :)

All games are region coded but some are not locked to that region. Games like Espagaluda 2 are not region locked and so fourth.

I just realized that after I posted it lol... Looked around and found someone ripped it onto their computer and it is indeed NTSC-J and not region free...

Well that's a shame. I would love to play region locked games but I don't fancy opening up my Xbox and soldering stuff on it.

You may already know this but there's a PSP version of the game and obviously, PSP one doesn't have a region lock. There's also PS Vita Dream Club Zero already out.

I really wanted to buy the Dream Club Zero on PS Vita but I had to get Dynasty Warriors instead since I was with my family =/
